It's truly remarkable to reflect on the events of this time last year when Cyclone Gabrielle lashed New Zealand, resulting in some of the most devastating flooding the country has witnessed in a century. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the communities that were hit the hardest, such as Hawkes Bay, Gisbourne, and the surrounding areas in the south, where precious lives, livelihoods, and homes were lost.

It was a close call for Compac itself as water surrounded the factory, but we were one of the lucky ones and got through without any incident or loss.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the brave first responders who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of everyone affected and to restore order amidst the chaos. We were pleased to be part of the collective effort to assist in lending a helping hand by providing our trucks and aiding the community in any capacity we could.

We sincerely hope those affected by the devastating continue to rebuild, embracing the challenges to build a better future.
