Big week in the shed this week Time to hit WoW round at Ruapuna 24th January 💪 can't thank my Sponsors enough for this opportunity Ahh S**t Yeah!!

Nice to be home back in the Tractor for a few days.

Came home pretty gutted with the final day of the Rolling Thunder in Cromwell after such a good Friday night i was feeling real comfortable and fast in the car.

5th heat started 7th finished 7th so I knew I needed to pull my finger out in the 6th and final heat. After 1 lap I found the outside groove and had a good run on down the wall only to be Squeezed up and the runover completely collapsed my front end. SNZ relegated this driver 2 spots for the dumb move. Sometimes a Sorry goes a long way in this sport or even the effort to come over and apologize or offer to help. Huge thanks to Kirk Scott and George Hedley for giving me a hand to replace my front end.

This left us just out of the Dash of top 6 cars unfortunately 😞.

We Squared the car and setup for our 20lap feature starting of grid 7 to get up to the dummy Grid and be told its cut to 15laps 🤦‍♂️ too much fuel Great!!.

Went in there hammer down to try my best with car a little overloaded but I kept digging but eventually coming home in 7th place i had got the gap to the car in front down from 1.6secs to 0.8secs in the last few laps so my car was coming on but unfortunately not enough laps.

After the race I had 1 disgruntled parent have a crack at me for a so called bad passing maneuver in the feature this really put a sour taste in my mouth and I let rip with a few words back so with that i am now finished Travelling down south to support there tracks we dont need this carry on in this sport im always lending stuff and helping others where i can which keeps cars on track. Racings racing and there was nothing harsh about it i will put the 2 vids up on a separate post so people can have there view on these 2 incidents.

Time to Reset for Ellesmere Motor Racing Club this Sunday my favorite club and track to be a part of.

I have managed to find my mojo at Cromwell finally after a few events struggling for speed down here I think we have cracked it and are on the right track with car speed and setup.

I want to say massive thanks to Steve Duff & Steve Duff and Mark & Montana Jamieson for the Conversations and advice to where the problem may lie. We started by rebuilding the rear diff and replacing all the bearings at the start of the week as we were hitting 95degs. Then removed a couple of inline fuel filters which I now know was restricting fuel flow. Then finally we had gone way out on our Gearing in the car which suited some conditions but from advice we borrowed a gearset around where it should be and what other cars are running and Boom! We have a rocketship of a car again. 😀😀😀🏁🏁🏁.

Here's the 4 race results from night one which has us sitting 6th on points 1 point behind 5th place out of 13 cars. Roll on tonight 💪

Set to go at Cromwell for the Rolling Thunder event hot afternoon down here 13 cars should be a good weekend Racing in conjunction with the NZ Sprintcar Championship.

Washday done all serviced and prepped ready for the 1st January in Cromwell

Pretty disappointed with my night at Cromwell lastnight I just can't seem to find speed here to keep up with everyone a 7th and a couple of 10th place finishes aren't good enough big thanks to George Doig and Diane for crewing lastnight also big thanks to all the kids that came to say hi and took away stickers and hero cards.

Thanks to all my wonderful sponsors we will try reset do some homework and come back again on the 1st Jan 2026 and try again.
