The Mobility Dogs crew dropped by today to introduce us to the beautiful dogs in training that offer practical support, companionship and security, transforming the lives of people with disabilities here in New Zealand.
The hard work the trainers and the dogs do means the world to so many people. Weβre lucky to be working alongside them as a sponsor and we're very pleased to be able to continue to support them.
Mobility Dogs are trained to offer practical support, companionship and security. They transform the

Avery is thrilled to have recently been placed in her forever home. She is happily ensconced with a gorgeous family that she is already doting on. One of family members has Cerebral Palsy which impacts her ability to get around easily as well as doing certain everyday tasks, and so Avery will be able to help her out as well as be a trusty companion.π₯°πΆβ€οΈ

What puppy doesn't love chewing on a sock from time to time? 𧦠Milo loves it more than most, so he has has been having to through some serious sock desensitisation strategies! Look at how well he is doing - he's now able to sit with a pile of socks in front of him without picking them up and he now doesn't react at all. Such a good boy Milo! ππΆ

Introducing the newest member of the Mobility Dogs pack - Kelly! Incredibly Kelly was donated to us by breeder Elaine Jones - thank you so much Elaine! Kelly has a lovely temperament and is a sweet little girl who is very soft and gentle. She is a bit on the shy side, loves people, and comes when called. She is not startled easily and is settling in well to her new crate and new environment. We look forward to bringing you further updates on how she progresses with her training. π₯°πΎ

Two good doggos, a camping trip, and one unforgettable experience! Tahi and Rose had a blast exploring the great outdoors for the first time. From hitting the beach, to gorgeous sunsets, there was no shortage of adventure!

What have you been up to Reid - you look like you have been caught out doing something naughty!? π₯°πΎπ

How adorable Tahi is in his pram? Those big eyes and fluffy ears make us just melt with cuteness. Who wouldn't want to take him for a walk? π₯°πΎπΆ

Daisy is a super cuddly, friendly Mobility pup in training. She loves belly rubs, chasing butterflies, and playing fetch! Daisy has a unique talent for making friends and spreading joy everywhere she goes.

Whitman is looking rather majestic while he enjoys a stunning Southern Lakes sunset. There's nothing quite like the peacefulness of a quiet evening in the mountains. πΎπ₯°π»

We're super excited to introduce the newest recruit to the Mobility Dogs team - Samson!π₯°
He's being raised in Hamilton and so far is proving to be very good at taking in his surroundings without getting phased by new sights and sounds! β€οΈπΆ

Look at cute wee Milo snuggled up on his favorite toy! Who else is ready for a nap after a long day? πΆ π€

We think Martha would make a great ball girl for the tennis don't you? πΎπΎ

Annie is at the end of her training and is waiting for a placement match early this year. Her puppy raiser has done an amazing job with her. She is quite task orientated; likes to be busy and have things to do. She will be a great Mobility Dog for somebody with higher needs. She is currently with our Hamilton Senior Trainer, who will fine-tune her tasks and finish her training. We can't wait to see how she goes in her placement!

Who said dogs can't have faith!? Check out happy Harley who was smiling from ear to ear at church on Sunday! πΎπΆπ

Wilma didn't get the memo about long faces, and instead she looks very happy with herself! πππΎ

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, but whatever you do Jack, don't steal the freshly baked bread rolls!! ππΎ

Pets on the job: The animals working at churches, hospices and on the front line
Mobility Dog Teddy has been chatting to the team at Stuff about what he gets up to - read on to find out more!
Pets on the job: The animals working at churches, hospices and on the front line Cats, dogs and horses are putting in the mahi β comforting the bereaved, greeting churchgoers and sniffing out pests β to make NZ a better place.

Otis has been enjoying his summer break by soaking up some sunshine and checking out the beach! πΎβοΈπ

Wishing you a very happy and healthy 2023 from all of the team at Mobility Dogs. πΎπΎ

From everyone at Mobility Dogs, thank you so much for your support in 2022 and we wish you a very happy new year! π₯°π₯³πΎ

Mobility pup in training Kacie is looking pretty relaxed in the lead up to Christmas! Keep being cool Kacie! ππΎπ

Queenstown in the summer is one of the most stunning places - but we think it's been made even more stunning with Mobility pup in training Maple in the foreground! πππ

If you're heading away on holiday today, travel safely on the roads and try to have as much fun as Jack! ππΆβ±

From all the team at Mobility Dogs we wish you, your loved ones and family our very best wishes. πΎπ

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
Except for Reid, who looks like he is up to all sorts of mischief!
Don't go causing any chaos tonight Reid, or Santa won't leave you any presents! ππΎπ

Happy holidays to everyone from Rose and Tahi. They hope Santa brings them lots of chew sticks and soft toys to destuff. ππΆπ
Why was Mobility Dog Comet the perfect match for Colleen?
'Love at first sight' is how double amputee Colleen described meeting her Mobility Dog Comet for the first time. But why was he chosen as the perfect match for Colleen? The story of how they were paired together and their beautiful bond is heart warming! https://youtu.be/2LTb9d-ElCY

The Puppies in Prison crew are looking very smart in their gorgeous homemade outfits! π₯°

So Holly, Santa wants to know if you have been naughty or nice?
We know you've been a very good girl this year and hope you get all the bones you've been wishing for! ππ
πΎ

With only 5 days until Christmas, Arnie is getting in the spirit by channeling his inner elf! π§ββοΈπΆπ

There's always something happening in Hamilton and over the weekend the stunning Mobility Dogs tree from Trees at The Meteor has been moved to the Te Rapa branch of Animates Vetcare NZ. If you head in there you can give a donation and take away a decoration / puppy photo of your choice to hang on your own tree! So make sure you get down there before they are all gone! πΎππΆ

Teddy has been busted sleeping on the job! Was it the carol singing that put him to sleep or was it just a well earned rest in the middle of a hectic silly season? ππ πΎ

Brody doesn't think that being a Christmas elf is really his cup of tea, he'd much prefer to be a superhero Mobility Dog any day of the week! πππ

Our Hamilton crew were at it again on Friday night at Bunnings Warehouse New Zealand Te Rapa at their annual Christmas market evening. A wonderful $201.80 was raised for Mobility Dogs and an incredible $100 Bunnings voucher was donated.
We are very grateful to Bunnings Warehouse New Zealand Te Rapa for their ongoing support of Mobility Dogs!

Dear Santa, if I close my eyes nice and tight and make a wish, will you bring me 3 kilos of bones? Pretty please? Love Jack
π€£π€£πΎπ¦΄π¦΄

Mobility pup in training Milo has been learning the command 'carry', and he has managed to find the biggest basket he could to show off how clever he is! πΎπ

Jack loved chilling out at the Santa parade on the weekend and he really got into the festive spirit of things! ππ

Please sir, I'd like some shaved ham, some champagne ham, some Christmas ham and some.... oh just give me all your ham please! ππΎπ₯

Here are some of the incredible volunteers, including our Senior Trainer from Hamilton who have worked incredibly hard to create a Mobility Dogs Christmas Tree for one of Hamiltonβs most iconic and loved Christmas events, Trees at The Meteor!
They have created over 180 'paw tree ornaments' of past and present Mobility Dogs raised by our wonderful puppy raisers over the years. The 'paw' showcases a photo of the dog as well as the year of their birth.
Trees at The Meteor is in Hamilton and runs from December 7 - 11 and 14 - 17, 6pm to 9pm weeknights and 3pm to 9pm on weekends! Come along, check out this incredible piece of work and vote for us in the People's Choice award! ππΎπ₯°

Getting into the Christmas spirit is cheeky elf-pup Arnie! πRecently Arnie has been working on his barking and it has been great to see some improvement and he is not alerting the world about everything as much as he was. He has also been learning to open the kitchen drawer using a rope and the tug command which he has had great success with. Nice work elf-pup Arnie! π πΎπ

Otis is looking super content as the sun sets! Just look at his gorgeous face - it's like he knows something we don't. ππΎπ
