🐎 Ground Staff Wanted | Clotworthy Racing 🐎

We're looking for a motivated and reliable person to join the team at Clotworthy Racing.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be part of a professional racing stable, working with quality racehorses and helping with the day-to-day running of the stable and property.

The role includes:
• Feeding and caring for racehorses
• Mucking out boxes and general stable duties
• Saddling and assisting with horses in work
• Yard presentation and a variety of daily stable tasks

We're looking for someone who:
• Is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work
• Enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn

Experience with horses is preferred but not essential. We welcome enquiries from anyone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in working in the racing industry.

Could lightning strike twice?

Clotworthy Racing lined up a 2YO gelding named at the Avondale trials today - his first public appearance - and despite racing greenly and having plenty to learn still, there appeared to be a ton of raw ability 'under the hood' as the horse lengthened impressively under and reeled in the leaders quickly to win his Heat over the 1000m.

By , is bred on the identical cross to the quality racemare , being out of a mare and of course the stable won the NZ Derby in 2025 with another son of in .

A $40,000 yearling purchase for Shaun & Emma Clotworthy at New Zealand Bloodstock, is also bred 3x3 to the Champion Sire which augurs well as he steps up in trip into his 3YO year.
