Cigar Man gave us a trans Tasman double yesterday when winning at Toowoomba last night.

We are very happy he put his best foot forward yesterday despite his top weight of 60kg. It’s a win we are sure he will take a lot of confidence from going forward.

Congratulations to trainers Archibald Racing for preserving with this horse, jockey Aidan Keeley and his large ownership group. 👏❤️💙

A mare that took a lot of confidence out of her last start win, she came in today hitting all the marks for another dominant win.

New Zealand-based global syndicators Go Racing were in great spirits early on Saturday morning following Benjamin Hornigold’s impressive two length win in the United Kingdom’s richest maiden race, the £100,000 British Stallion Studs EBF Convivial Maiden Stakes (7f), at the York Ebor Festival.

▪️MANZOR BLUE, Hastings - Race 3
📝Take two this week for Manzor Blue to resume her new campaign, with lofty targets ahead. She meets a small field with Bruno Queiroz aboard, giving her every chance to start her spring prep in style.

▪️WITH GRACE, Te Rapa - Race 4
📝 A last start winner at Ruakaka, she finds herself another nice race tomorrow in the 65 benchmark over 2400m. Similar conditions to her last start, all points to another positive run. George Rooke sticks with her.

▪️CIGAR MAN, Toowoomba - Race 6
📝His form reads as disappointing but we know he’s a horse with plenty of ability on his day. Stepping up in trip to 2160m and back on a good track should give him every opportunity to finish off well.

🚨RUNNER UPDATE - Soul of Spain 🇪🇸

Our Spanish Matador SOUL OF SPAIN 🇪🇸 (Phoenix of Spain x Aimhirgin Lass) is primed and ready to face some of his biggest fights yet, this season. He's set to resume in the Listed Rowley Mile at Hawkesbury on Thursday, following a couple of handy trials last month. He’s also entered in the Cox Plate and is being aimed towards the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.

▪️OMNI MAN - Curragh, Ireland : Race 6
📝 A good fourth place last start sees Omni Man lining up in €70,000 Group 3 Royal Whip Stakes in the early hours of Monday morning NZ time. We are in search of a group placing with this horse in hopes of making the Caulfield Cup field later this year. Hopeful of a strong run from this boy

▪️LOS SALSERO, Taupo - Race 2
📝 A step up in ground to 1800m is exactly what this gelding has been looking for and he finds himself with better track conditions than what he’s previously run on. With luck in the running, we should see him finishing off strongly. Jack Taplin aboard claiming the 2kg will definitely be helpful.

▪️MISS JANET, Taupo - Race 7
📝 We are very excited to see this filly resuming tomorrow in the $100,000 Listed Chittick Family Fillies Classic. She goes into the race tomorrow with one trial under her belt which she will definitely of benefited from. Drawn barrier 1 with Michael McNab in the saddle, we are confident of a bold showing.

▪️CONFECTIONIST, Taupo - Race 8
📝 Breaking maidens last start, Confectionist finds herself in a nice spot when stepping up to 65 grade tomorrow over 1200m. We are confident she’s capable of improving off her last run and progressing up the grades. Michael McNab sticks with and they will jump from barrier 4.

▪️FARAWAY DREAM, Pakenham Synthetic - Race 5
📝 Bit of a muddled prep for Faraway Dream due to heavy tracks and wide draws, so we opt to run her on the synthetic tomorrow in the benchmark 62 over 1100m. Drawn barrier 9, but with good natural speed we are hoping to be positive from the draw and see her relaxing in the running. Senior jockey Beau Mertens aboard should give her every chance.
