You might have known us as Caul to Parenting, a name born from the rare and beautiful en caul births of my children. While that story is still at the heart of why I do what I do, it was time for a name that reflects the community we’ve built together.

Jumping on the bandwagon! 2016 doesn’t feel like it was that long ago. I was still 1-2 children deep into parenthood but I wasn’t much more than a baby myself whilst trying to also be a mama. I actually found life with younger kids easier than the season we are in now, but that could also just be fantasising about the past 🫣
Post partum hair loss! If you didn’t know this was a thing then it can come as quite a shock! But it is totally normal Postpartum hair loss mostly comes down to hormones. During pregnancy, our estrogen levels are higher, which keeps our hair in the growth phase for longer so it often feels thicker and fuller. After baby arrives, those hormone levels drop back to normal, and all that extra hair that was hanging on suddenly shifts into the shedding phase at the same time. Totally normal, but definitely a bit of a shock when it starts happening.
It can start anywhere between 3-6 months after having a baby and usually starts to ease up around the 12 month mark.
There’s not a huge amount you can do for it Embrace the mum halo! It’s all part of the parenting journey.
