We took our little girl to Ruby when she was around ten months old after learning from the dermatologist and our GP that the only way to manage eczema was with the frequent use of steroids (hydrocortisone). She started developing eczema when she was six months old and as prescribed by our GP was on steroids every single day to keep the flares under control. On securing an appointment with the dermatologist we learned the side effects of using constant steroids and how to manage with as little steroid as possible.
