A bridge expansion joint is a critical part of any bridge construction, it allows for thermal expansion/ contraction between the superstructure of the bridge and the abutment as seasons change (hot to cold etc)....
We are extremely excited to finally see a EJ system we have been developing with our manufacturing partner hit the NZ Market. The first installation in NZ of our extremely unique BAS®ERJ is being installed on the Reeves Road Overpass this week. This is a 3-axis movement capable finger joint system that has been a 7+ year project for us.
Chelsea Corp Ltd's team are on-site doing a stellar job with the installation.

Another bridge sporting BAS®NZ Elastomeric Bearings and Expansion Joints. William Stewart Bridge, built by Concrete Structures Ltd was almost complete and was waiting on the Joints to arrive.
