Congratulations to FIRST Security’s own Su Kaur, who has been named a finalist in the New Zealand Security Association Awards in the Customer Champion category.

As Contracts Manager - Rail & Events, Su has transformed FIRST Security’s relationship with Auckland One Rail and Auckland Transport from a traditional service provider arrangement into a true strategic partnership. Supporting security across New Zealand’s busiest public transport network and some of Auckland’s largest public events, Su is a trusted adviser whose expertise helps shape operational planning, risk management and public safety outcomes.

As Lisa D'Oliveira, General Manager HSQESS at Auckland One Rail, says: “Su is an exceptionally responsive and solutions-focused professional who consistently goes above and beyond to support our rail network operations.”

Congratulations to our very own Jon Miller, who has been named a finalist in the New Zealand Security Association Awards in the Security Trainer of the Year category.

Training security officers in a critical infrastructure environment requires far more than delivering information. It demands technical expertise, adaptability, engagement and a deep understanding of operational risk. Jon has redefined the training experience by developing innovative learning resources that make complex procedures easier to understand, retain and apply in real-world situations.

More than a trainer, Jon is a trusted leader and mentor whose influence is reflected every day in the confidence, capability and professionalism of the officers he develops.

This recognition is a testament to Jon’s passion for excellence and his commitment to raising standards across the security industry.

We’re proud to recognise Anne Fuasino for going above and beyond in her support of an ADT Medical client.

While arranging a routine visit, Anne received a call from the client who had fallen and was unable to get up. Remaining calm, compassionate, and highly professional, Anne stayed on the line to provide reassurance while quickly confirming whether an ambulance was required. She immediately contacted 111 to ensure help was on the way and continued checking in on the client throughout.

Although the ambulance service had already been alerted via the client’s pendant alarm, Anne also promptly notified ADT Medical to ensure full awareness of the situation and coordinated response.

Her actions reflect outstanding care, professionalism, and a strong commitment to client safety.

On 24 July, our FIRST Security Managers got out and about to catch up with our incredible Security Officers as part of Security Officers’ Day - taking the opportunity to show our appreciation for the fantastic job they do every day.

Our Security Officers are at the heart of FIRST Security. 24/7, 365 days a year, they’re out there protecting people, property and communities, supporting our clients and making a real difference.

Our business is because of who our people are and what they do. Their professionalism, commitment, care and dedication are what make FIRST Security what it is.
