We are very proud to support a young up and coming Speedway Midget driver Ben Morrison. Ben was racing TQs at Speedway for many years before he transitioned to Midget racing last season. He did so well last season, his first in Midgets, that qhe was named Rooky of the Year. Ben and his Dad Lynden do all the car prep at home and Ben’s mate Levi is race day pit crew. This year Ben has had his Toyota TRD motor freshened up and last Saturday night he won his three races against seasoned professionals who have been racing Speedway Midgets for many years. Ben’s a great driver, mechanic and race car preparer. We are very proud of his achievements so far and wish him well for the coming season. It has got off to a fast start!!!

"When I got my diagnosis, I knew straightaway I was going to die. I've had more good days since I moved to the hospice. It makes a difference. It's given me time with my family. We've been able to have better conversations, too.

We've planned my funeral and my final trip – it’s taken the pressure off my family. After I'm cremated, I've told my daughter I want to be taken to Ireland. I don't really mind where they take me, as long as they take me to one of those little country pubs and walking out on the hills. They can carry me in a backpack. It'll be my last goodbye.

They look after you here. Not just me, but my family too. We're overwhelmed with gratitude, so thank you Marie Curie for making me feel so peaceful about death."

Thank you, Patsy, for being so open and honest about your plans. Read her story: https://bit.ly/3Cmgqt7
