Transforming an ugly number plate

We took a bent plate that wouldn't fit properly on this Japanese import and transformed it into something elegant that looks like it belongs there. We used a spacer / adaptor plate to fill the space behind the plate and put a chrome frame on it.

Have you ever wondered about the ethics of buying products from third world countries where wealthy factory owners are able to take advantage of an abundant supply of cheap labour? We have been importing from various countries like this since 1997. Our approach to the ethical dilemma has been to do two things:

Firstly we visit the factory to check for ourselves the conditions the workers work in and check to see if children are working there.

Secondly we reinvest some of our profits back into directly supporting the poor in that country. World Vision has been one of our partners to help us do that through child sponsorship and more recently their Microfinance program.

Even if you are not involved with importing from third world countries you can't avoid buying products made there. We would encourage everyone to consider World Vision as a way of helping to build a better, fairer world for those born into poverty.
