Never let it be said that the Context team don't get into the Christmas spirit. For our festive potluck lunch today, we asked staff to dress up in their Christmas finery. The best (ahem) dressed prize went to Barry - I've been to Look Sharp - Stott.

We had lots of fun with the group of students who recently attended our open day. This included an interactive session, asking them to create the perfect bedroom for a teenager.

It was great to see that sustainability was a big feature in the designs, with treetop living, solar panels and veggie gardens aplenty. Our favourite was the bedroom on the Moon – not sure about the daily commute to Auckland?!

What a great way to end the week with news that Context is a finalist in the Designers Institute of New Zealand Best Awards.

Easter has come early this year at Context's Kingsland studio. Hot cross buns and chocolate eggs all around. Even the wee green bunnies got in on the action.

Congratulations to all our fantastic runners at this year's Round The Bays. Seven of the team ran the 8.4kms in under 40 minutes - what an achievement.

Next year, maybe we could try something less physical - anyone keen on Round The Bars?!

Daniel Hoy and T.J Jhagroo have been working hard on a range of projects that you'll see completed in 2024. Warren and Mahoney 's 90 Devonport and a new subdivision in Lower Hutt designed by Context for Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities, all have sustainability at their core.

These are just two of many projects that our team are working on, so keep your eyes peeled for even more exciting content over the next 12 months.

The last activity of the year organised by our social club, took place last night, and a jolly good time was had by all.

While some yearned for the child-friendly bumpers to be raised, the IT team literally smashed it down the alley - or did they just hack into the scoreboard to win?

We're looking forward to more fun and a little bit of friendly rivalry in 2024!

By day, dazzling designers, by night, a pretty scary bunch - we still don't know who came as the dinosaur! Shout out to Alesh Sukha for nailing the 'yuck do I really have to eat that but it tastes great' spider cake.

Halloween celebrated in true Context style!
