Tāmaki Makaurau’s Mainard Larkin has joined forces with partner‑in‑crime Tom Lark for a collaborative ass-kickin’ new album ‘Rattlesnake Boy’ and we’ve readied the shop floor for some serious rootin’ and tootin’.

This Saturday, Larkin will be performing a stripped back arrangement of favourites from the full length while slanging copies of the new LP straight across the desk.

We’ll no doubt have you ready to mosey straight into the alt‑country sunset after this one. This Saturday, June 13th, 2pm, free and all ages. yeehaw.

Show Your Bones turns 20. A second album that trades the wired, chaotic rush of Fever to Tell for an open‑hearted, sleek, but never safe, second effort. Karen O and Nick Zinner still bring fire but the explosion is delivered with purpose rather than chaos for chaos’ sake. An album that opened the doors of what was to come, a jog before the sprint.

Of WHEN offers an equally as playful listening journey, this time with harp loops from Mary Lattimore, pedal steel, and mariachi band. Not sure about you, but we're excited to hear how those three worlds intertwine!

Hunter’s Staff Pick - Marijata ‘This Is Marijata’!

“Wow wow wow wow wow wow, oh to see this album back in circulation is a dream. Laid back, organic Afro-funk, the blueprint of what has been endlessly mimicked. A must have.”

Rosetta’s Staff Pick 🪴 Nadia Reid - Enter Now Brightness

Time and time again, the tender and unravelling works of Nadia Reid offer up crucial reminders of the strength in softness, and our duty to resist hardening in the face of the world’s harshness. Since the album’s release last year, and amidst all that can feel helpless in the world, Enter Now Brightness has nurtured those mantras in me. Steadfast and joyful whilst poignant and honest; this is a record that takes off and soars - with listeners gently cradled in the passenger seat.
