Last autumn I bought random dahlia seeds off trademe. Each one came up different and uniquely beautiful. This has become my favorite flower by far. I am having so much fun creating bouquets with these lovelies 🌸

is a must see this summer. I missed out last year when heavy winds closed the fields early. They also have a new beautiful butterfly house. A great day out for the entire family. Don't miss this one 😍

Unknown Dahlia. Love these so much, I'm contemplating only growing dahlias in my flower garden. Unfussy, so many varieties available, flowers all summer, no pest issues and I don't need to uplift them in my mild winters. It's a no brainer really 🧠 πŸ€”

I'm not sure who is enjoying my new wildflower meadow more, me or the cats. In spring I pulled out all the grass and planted these Oxeye daisy's instead. No more mowing! Best decision ever 🌼🐝

Happy Valentine's Day Barbie! Ken really stepped up this year, with this sumptuous bouquet of dried miniature spray roses in magenta. Only the best for his sweet heart. He's a keeper!

This week I've been harvesting some blue lovelies for the drying room. Hydrangea, Sea holly and Globe thistle are all stella choices for drying, holding their colours and form well. Hang the spiky ones upside down to dry, and pop the hydrangea in an inch of water. Let the flower draw up the water without topping it up. This is the best way to preserve those gorgeous blues.

Just so thrilled! My plant printing creation has been mentioned in my favorite magazine. I am a huge fan of this publication and highly recommend it. If you missed the previous post on how to do plant printing, you can check out the demonstrative video here:

Happy new year! I hope your gardens and plants have survived the heat! Phew, its been a scorcher. I've been busy harvesting over the holidays. Poppies are a favorite of mine. I grow them every year, a very easy and versatile plant giving you gorgeous blooms in spring and then these cute little seed heads in summer. Sow in autumn and early spring.
