Sometimes it’s about proportion, other times it could be the colour palette, the silhouette of a garment, the textures and sometimes it’s just a vibe. Today’s shopping outfit feels like it ticks so many boxes that I had to show you and not just a quick selfie in my stories. It’s the ease, and dare I say the practicality and simplicity, finishing with a very intentional flourish with my vintage scarf. I shared the story of searching for the perfect long white coat while in London on my most recent trip. I found the dream coat… but not in my size. I truly thought the vision I had carried in my mind was simply not meant to be.

Taking it back to the days when we posted pictures of one great dress, one beautiful wrap and one stunning pair of sunglasses and just allow them to have their moment. One of the things I don’t enjoy about social media is the emphasis on having a very exciting social life where you post a carousel of all of your highlights of the past week or month. What if you’ve just been working, having early nights, eating well, studying and taken up an exercise program? More on that to come x so this is my challenge to myself to show up wearing what I love and not feel any sense of obligation to have been social.
