Much love and respect to all our families for an amazing time @ the Rotorua XTERRA today!!! We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we loved seeing you completing it.

SAFE TRAVELS HOME everyone and we hope you’ve all made it home safely. For those staying the night in Rotorua, please stay safe this weekend and only travel once the storm has cleared.

We’ll be posting up photos from the event over the next week so feel free to tag and share. But also remember:

1. Educational Bootcamp on Wednesday @ Auckland University (you need to have registered to receive all the information),

2. We’ll see you again in July when we start our training for the Mt Maunganui 10km.

Thanks everyone…

Wonderful night with so many of our families tonight for the presentation of race packs and Project Wy tees.

For those that were not able to make it, we are meeting 7:15am @ Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) - on Tarawera Rd, 20mins from Rotorua CBD. You’ll receive your race pack and tee there and we’ll have all our school photos at 7:30am before race start.

As emphasized many times tonight, we strongly advise families that after the race tomorrow we should travel home to Auckland by early afternoon. Our goal is to finish the race well, have a great enjoyable time on the course and then get back to Auckland by sunset.

If you’re staying overnight Saturday, we ask that you please check the weather report and suggest you NOT TRAVEL ON SUNDAY.

Thanks everyone and see you in the morning for our Rotorua XTERRA.

Friday 10am - Update

Morning everyone

We've had enquiries about the weather forecast and potential storm conditions. We are keeping a close eye on MetService, regional authorities and in contact with the XTERRA event organisers here in Rotorua.

At present, Saturday is okay and the event will not be affected. Saturday forecast remains calm and mostly fine weather-wise in Rotorua. However with the worst of the weather due to hit early Sunday morning through to Sunday evening, we advise our families to consider returning to Auckland Saturday lunchtime / early afternoon and NOT TO TRAVEL ON SUNDAY.

We will provide an update both at this evening's presentations and also via Facebook. But please travel safely, and if you are considering not to travel down to Rotorua at all, we completely understand but please message us to let us know.

We'll update again in the afternoon everyone....

Trainings are over so now we look forward to the Rotorua XTERRA.

Reminder families we are meeting Friday 6:30pm @ Distinction Hotel (390 Fenton St, Rotorua) where we will present you with the race packs, bibs and your Project Wy T-shirt.

See you Friday everyone…

While officially finished 2 weeks ago with the Mt Maunganui 10km, there was still a special group of families that were part of a pilot 10 Week Champions Programme.

For 10 Weeks they did their own trainings and checked in online with photos and videos of their family activities.

This morning we held our Graduation Breakfast together in West Auckland. While the weather held us back from doing the sand dunes workout earlier, we enjoyed celebrating together with fellowship and good food.

Well done to our Champions and thank you Papatoetoe North School for allowing us work with your wonderful families.

p.s. we’ll get to do the sand dunes sometime in the next few months.
