In the pits at the final round of ProMX

Some things just do not need explaining. The King, a big bore Kawasaki two-stroke, and the first proper fire-up. You get the kick, the bark, the cloud of premix drifting through the shed, and every one of us wishing we were standing right there for the smell of it. Whack the sound up and let the KX327 do the talking 👊

Seth Morrow can’t stop winning. The Southlander swept MX3 at Conondale for his second flawless round in a row.

Round seven belonged to the #24 Honda. Morrow won moto one by 14 seconds and moto two by nine, lap times a full two seconds quicker than the next best rider on track. Ruthless stuff. The double moves him up to fourth in the championship on 223 points, right in the mix at the pointy end.

Fellow Kiwi Hayden Draper still leads MX3 and can wrap the title at the final round, so there’s plenty on the line for the New Zealand contingent.

One round left, Queensland Moto Park, August 1-2. Morrow will be gunning for a hat-trick.

Twelve months ago she was struggling to get through 30 minutes on a spin bike. This week she’s back in the ruts, putting in the laps between rounds.

Courtney Duncan’s third overall at Foxhills was the first WMX podium of her comeback season, and the race one ride was the real statement, coming from outside the top 15 to finish just over a second off the win. But the podium was never the point. The work either side of it is what gets a fifth world title.

Round four is at Arnhem in the Netherlands on August 22-23, and the top step is getting closer every weekend. Safe to say she’s right back 👊
