Businesses for English students had an opportunity to hear from our school’s Marketing Manager - Brett. They learned what is important when advertising, the importance of nurturing relationship with agencies as well as how crucial is “selling” your story. The week in class focused on Persuasion and “storytelling” in marketing and advertising. Thank you Brett!

Conversation class: Went to K road to learn about op-shopping etc. We spent the week talking about sustainable fashion. They interviewed shop staff to find out where the items come from, where does the money go, who shops etc

We were a small group that went to the WAITAKARES for a bush walk but it felt like a very full outing. We enjoyed our own company in this pristine nature with endemic species of trees, like the Rimu and magestic Kauri. We were also so lucky to see twice a Kereru (Wood pigeon in English) and a Kotare (kingfisher) and many cute Piwakawakas.
The air was so pure and fresh, a nourishing spa for our beings, and the views so beautiful and breathtaking.
I really advice all our students to take the opportunity, at least once during their stay in Auckland, to come along this bush walk.

It all started with a short bush walk to the Domain, just minutes from the school, close to Park Tower. We went into the Auckland Museum for FREE and explored the Origins of the city but also the unique fauna and flora of Aotearoa. And to finish, we visited the Volcanic section.
The volcanic section had a real size simulator. We all enjoyed it and hopefully 🤞 learned a few interesting facts.
We finished our tour by going into the Winter Gardens. Definitely worth the trip! Unfortunately we were too late for the Tropical Garden, the second Green house. We will definitely come back to see this at our next Social Activity!
