After an outstanding season, the Men’s Premier Team has officially been crowned the 2026 Dettol Northern League Champions, with the trophy presented at the club’s home game on 8 August.
It was a privilege for our own Darren and Jason Brown to celebrate alongside the players, supporters and the wider Birkenhead community as they marked an incredible achievement.
Congratulations to everyone at Birkenhead United on a fantastic season. We’ll be cheering you on as you head into the National League at the end of September. Bring it on! 👏
📢🏗️ Another big Chelsea Rise milestone - but this time it’s about what’s coming down:
Now that the roof is on and and the heavy lifting has taken everything to where it needs to be, the crane’s job is done…so down it came. It was an exciting moment when it went up, and even more exciting to see it come down as it means the move-in day for our owners is getting very close.

Under the new roof it’s a hive of activity, including:
🔨 Windows have gone in all the way up to level 6, with our level 7 penthouse glazing underway
🔨 Gib is done up to level 6
🔨 The kitchens are in on level 1
🔨 Bathrooms and balconies are tiled on level
🔨 Painting is done to level 3
🔨 The steel studs are almost complete on level 7

What a proud moment for our combined team: the roof is now on! Big thanks to Kalmar Construction for hitting this milestone with us, keeping the timing on track for early 2027 completion.
It’s not every day you can stand on top of a penthouse, so we took the opportunity to snap a family photo of our Directors Darren & Jason Brown, and Head of Design Charlotte Wiltens-Brown.

We’re all the way to level 7, and currently building the roof structure - which will be fully on and enclosed in the next few weeks. Meanwhile on the lower levels, glazing is complete to level 4, and gib-stopping is well underway on levels 1 & 2.
All this progress means we’re on track for the movers to start arriving in early 2027!
