National Three Day Event 2026 wrap up for TR Willow 💛

What a special week away in Taupo with our little mare. Third after dressage, an awesome clear cross country around a seriously tough track in a competitive class, and despite a couple of light rails on Sunday, we finished 8th overall out of 28 starters.

Considering we’d only had one other eventing run this season, I honestly couldn’t be prouder of Willow. I was pretty windy heading out onto that cross country track, but she absolutely had my back all the way around. Such a genuine little trooper and the sort of horse who just keeps trying.

Also incredibly grateful to have had there with me all week. These trips away together are so special and I can’t thank mum enough for braving the cold, doing all the things, and being the best support crew. We’re both very proud of our girl 😍

Pukekohe Christmas Cracker 🎄

Willow jumped a great round in the 1.20 - love this brave little mare and the rides she gives me.

Hoot and I, on the other hand, parted ways in dramatic fashion … one of those moments 😅 Very grateful that we both walked away relatively unscathed.

Both horses are now well and truly due a few weeks of Christmas break before we switch back into training mode. Looking ahead to the new year, fresh plans, and getting back out Eventing once the season rolls around again.

Grateful, a little sore, but excited for the 2026 summer season 🩵 Merry Christmas to all 🎄 📸
