“I graduated from Unitec and went on to have a great career, mostly as a dancer, working for multiple companies,” says Kelly Nash, who runs ConTact C.A.R.E. Alongside her dance work she offers body trauma therapy from her quirky Mt Albert cottage. Read more in The Post:

Why choreographer and therapist Kelly Nash keeps a skeleton in her clinic Nash (Ngāpuhi, Ngāi Te Rangi), is a practitioner of ConTact C.A.R.E., a practice looking at the body’s responses to impact and trauma.

This week, we celebrated Vaiaso o te 'Gana Tuvalu (Tuvalu Language Week) with a special event featuring special guest Peleise Natano, aka Miss Tuvalu NZ

This year's theme, “Tuvalu, alofa ki tou fakavae, kae teugina tou iloga i tau kete fai malaga” – “Tuvalu, cherish your foundation, and carry your identity along your journey," is one that resonates with our Tuvaluan students. The New Zealand Maritime School celebrated its centenary on World Maritime Day 2026 at an event hosted with Maritime New Zealand. Established as the JW Keane Nautical School in 1926, the school has evolved alongside the country’s maritime sector over the past century.

Today, the school combines maritime education with advanced simulation and practical training to prepare students and industry professionals for careers at sea. As it enters its next century, the school is highlighting the importance of industry collaboration and access to sea time to develop the future maritime workforce.

Polynesian Panthers members Associate Professor Melani Anae and Rev Alec Toleafoa shared firsthand experiences of social activism with future social workers as part of the Talanoa Pasifika course. The course, offered as part of the Bachelor of Social Practice helps ākonga ‘learners’ understand how Aotearoa’s social and political history continues to shape Pacific communities and the issues social workers encounter.
