Tour Time

Our Story: THE GROUP TOUR EXPERTS: Sports | Music | Education

Moments that matter...our soul purpose. Tour Time is a full service group tour operator that has been creating shared transformative experiences in global destinations for over 31 years. Tour Time have set the benchmark for Health and Safety in the group travel and school travel sector for over 31 years. Tour Time are now part of Inspiresport / Destination Sports Group of Companies as we were acquired back in October 2023. A good tour partner will take away the worry and the “what if” for you. You will know that your money is safe and YOU are safe. It’s worth making sure these two critical factors are ticked off before you even start comparing prices… because these two benefits are priceless! You’re worth it. At Tour Time, we talk about our travel companions a fair bit. That’s because we’ve spent over 29 years putting ourselves in the shoes of travellers just like you to understand what makes a group tour an experience that’s worth every second, every dollar, every moment. Right now, you’re probably trying to get a gauge on our credentials.

“Who are you really?”
“Why should I trust you?
“Do you actually know what you're doing?”
“Is my money safe?”

And fair enough too - the journey you’re about to embark on is a big deal. You don’t just need an enticing package price. You need certainty. To ensure you can see the full worth in the experience before you commit. It is now clearer than ever that our decision to be one of the few fully licenced and financially bonded tour operators in New Zealand, is absolutely the right one on every level! We now have over 29 years of business behind us and we feel that the single most important thing we have done over these years was to put the financial security of our clients first. Travel in New Zealand and Australia is an unregulated industry and we have chosen to self-regulate our business by going the extra mile to be a recognised financially TAANZ bonded and licensed tour operator. What this means at the base level, is that your payments are held in a bonded account for your tour, to be utilised only for your tour…we cannot use your funds for operational purposes, marketing, or use your funds to pay for other groups expenses. But enough about us. We’d rather talk about you! On a Tour Time group tour, you don’t sightsee – you ‘go-do’. It’s all about living deeply. Our depth of experience leads us to believe anything is possible. We break new ground and take risks, piecing together multi-layered itineraries led by real tour manager travel companions that create shared experiences, together. By going above and beyond expectations, we deliver certainty. And in the competitive world of travel tours, that’s worth its weight in gold. We’ll take you behind the scenes of Google HQ to rub shoulders with creative minds. We’ll lead you inside CERN in Geneva to see anti-matter and lunch with physicists. You’ll perform in the Sydney Opera House, immerse yourself in New Orlean’s jazz scene, dine in the dark in Singapore, skate the Miracle on Ice rink in New York and train with Argentinian football coaches. It’s limited only by imagination. As a full service agency with Tour Managers joining you every step of the way, our tours come with 100% certainty. Leave everything in our capable hands as we draw on decades of experience to handpick itineraries tailored to your wish list and lead you to extraordinary people and places. Our mission? Make every moment matter. We simply refuse to settle, taking a never say never ‘can-do’ attitude to open doors where others see dead ends. Anything is possible if your head and heart are in the right place. And we’re all in. At Tour Time, we know travel isn’t about selfie sticks, Instagram likes or passport stamps. It’s not even about where you go (although that certainly plays its part). At the heart of it, travel is a journey into yourself, a life-changing experience where you return believing anything is possible. It teaches you, challenges you, inspires you. It’s a feeling that follows you long after you’ve parted ways at the luggage pick-up. If you return to normality feeling invigorated, motivated and emotionally energised, you’ve experienced something profound. That rare feeling is amplified when shared, reminding us of our shared humanity and burning stories into our collective memories. At the end of the day, you don’t remember the years – you remember the moments. We’re here to help you to experience the ones that matter most.
