Kingsland's award-winning design studio Oddthing is where owner and designer Henry Caird turns everyday objects into pieces you want on display 🏭

Every piece is designed in the studio and made locally in Auckland 🇳🇿

He's best known for the Wiggle Wall Hanger, where aluminium is shaped into a single wriggling line of hooks and powder-coated in bold colours that pop against any wall 🎨

The Fun Key Hanger brings the same wave to a smaller size, giving your keys a home by the door 🔑

For the office, the Wavy Baby Card Stand shows off both sides of your business card 💼

The Chris Cross Coffee Table rests on a crisp X of aluminium, and The Little Light pendant casts a thin line of light through the slit down its side 💡

Even the screws are powder-coated to match, so nothing breaks the line 🔩

Each piece starts with a small everyday problem, and Henry's answer is always simple, functional and a little bit odd 🌀

The studio sits on Central Road between Quattro Fitness Collective and Black Cat Tattoo, but the full range is online via their website (oddthing.co.nz) - you'll find plenty of things you didn't know you needed 🛒

If you'd like to see something in person, reach out to Henry directly 💙
