The last goodbye to the ole Smudge factory, and while reflecting back on the last 15 years it still amazes me what projects we have accomplished with a small team with big hearts and quality craftsmenship! Stay tuned for the next chapter....

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
After 15 years of what’s been a pretty amazing and wild ride, Corey and Kylie have decided it’s time for a change of direction in life and as a result of that the incredible run of Smudge will be coming to an end. We’ve put all our heart and soul into Smudge and are super proud and thankful for the company we’ve built, the amazing clients we’ve worked with and the incredible projects we’ve been privileged to be a part of.

We’re also super proud to announce that we’re going out on a high as alongside Ockham and their fantastic team we are finalists in the Designers Institute of NZ Best Design Awards Spatial Category for our work with them completing all of the wayfinding signage at their beautiful Aroha complex in Avondale: https://bestawards.co.nz/spatial/colour-award-spatial/ockham-residential/aroha/

Those in the industry – we will be looking to sell off the vast majority of our gear so if you have any interest in what we have please contact [email protected] please note this is NOT a financial decision so we are not looking to have a fire sale at bargain basement prices so please only get in touch if you have a genuine interest and are open to making fair and reasonable offers.

They say a change is as good as a holiday and we plan to do both! Make a change and have a holiday, so seems like a pretty good decision all around 😊 We’ll be trading and fully operational until the end of August so clients if you have any immediate needs over the next 3 weeks, please get in touch otherwise either Kylie or Corey will be in touch over the coming weeks to sign-off.

Finally – we want to pay massive thanks and tribute to our employees past and present (The Good Ones!) who’ve helped us build Smudge into what it is today. There are a number of individuals who’ve contributed a huge amount to the company (you know who you are) and we can never thank you enough.

On a personal level we’re super thankful to move forward having made so many great friends who will always be part of the Smudge Family no matter where we all end up. To our current team - your support as we’ve come to this decision has meant so much to us and we know you’ll kick ass in whatever you do next.

Another one in the books for our awesome clients Ockham Residential @ their wicked new apartment complex Aalto. We love working with clients who are all about collaboration and understanding the value classy and effective signage can bring!

Pretty pumped and proud of this one! As always from whoa to go all lovingly crafted in-house. Super proud of the whole team especially Cody who led the way with the fabrication of this beast!
