Wishing The Princess of Wales a very Happy 43rd Birthday!!! This birthday post is a little more challenging to write than in the past because of the unprecedented nature of the past year. It was a year in which Catherine faced immense challenges & her life changed immeasurably. It was a year in which we rarely saw her yet she was perhaps more “famous” than ever. It was a year in which she undoubtedly changed forever, right at her core, but in which she also continued to show us the special person she is & the reasons that we all think so much of her. The quiet strength of character. The determination to put what she values the most - her family - above all else. The grace & dignity to keep moving forward & live a life of love, empathy & kindness when a large part of the world has shown her anything but. Her natural warmth, compassion & genuineness. The uniquely Catherine ability to have a go at anything, even if it means riding an exercise bike in a skirt & heels! That almost indeterminable quality that means she can be the Princess of Wales but also somehow make us all feel like she’s still just “one of us”. For all of this, and more, we love her. I wish her the healthiest & happiest of birthdays. I wish her a day of love, laughter, cake & family. I wish her a 2025 that is happier & with a lighter load than her 2024. I wish she be given the grace to live her life in the way that she, and her family, needs. I wish her continued health & strength. We are all with you Catherine & wish you a very Happy Birthday!!!! 🥳 🎂❤️

A moment of royal elegance and timeless romance — Infanta Cristina of Spain and Iñaki Urdangarin on their wedding day in 1997. The royal ceremony took place at Barcelona’s majestic Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, surrounded by members of the Spanish royal family and distinguished guests from across Europe. The radiant bride wore an exquisite gown designed by Lorenzo Caprile, crafted from ivory silk and featuring a classic off-the-shoulder neckline with a long flowing train that symbolized grace and nobility. Completing her regal look was a glittering diamond tiara, once belonging to her mother, Queen Sofía of Spain, and a delicate veil that added a touch of ethereal beauty. The groom, elegant in traditional morning dress, looked lovingly at his bride as they exchanged vows — marking one of the most memorable royal weddings of the 1990s in Spain.

Prince Albert’s Sapphire Brooch: A Royal Treasure Through GenerationsThe royal sapphire featured today holds exceptional significance. Known as Prince Albert’s Sapphire Brooch, this remarkable jewel has been cherished by six generations of royal women. The brooch was originally gifted by Prince Albert to Queen Victoria on the eve of their wedding in 1840. She adored it so much that she even pinned it to her wedding gown. The piece is an impressive oblong sapphire encircled by twelve round diamonds, all set in gold. Although its exact maker and origin remain uncertain, research indicates that Albert may have acquired it from a Dutch jeweller.Throughout their marriage, Queen Victoria wore the brooch often. However, following Albert’s death in 1861, she seldom wore it, as with many jewels associated with him. In her will, Victoria designated the brooch as a Crown heirloom, ensuring it would be passed down from Queen to Queen.Successive Queens — Alexandra, Mary, and Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother) — inherited the brooch, though they rarely wore it. In one coronation photograph, the brooch can just be glimpsed beneath Queen Alexandra’s layers of necklaces. When Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne in 1952, the brooch became one of her most beloved pieces. She frequently wore it for daytime engagements, but it also appeared at key occasions, such as her dinner with U.S. President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Kennedy in 1961. The brooch was also used to fasten her sash during state banquets, especially when she paired it with her sapphire tiara. Another notable moment came in 1982, when she wore it at Prince William’s christening. Its frequent use demonstrated her deep fondness for this jewel. In 2023, Queen Camilla became the sixth Queen to wear the brooch, debuting it during a state visit to Germany. Since then, she has continued to wear it on multiple occasions. This brooch is not only a breathtaking work of craftsmanship but also a piece of immense emotional and historical value — making it one of the most treasured items in the British royal collection.
