These men were rejected for jobs time and time again, so they went out and created their own.

After repeatedly struggling to find work, four friends with Down syndrome in Argentina decided to create their own opportunities.

Mateo Kawaguchi, Leandro López Padros, Franco Noseda and Mauricio Rolden helped launch Los Perejiles, a mobile pizza-catering business in Buenos Aires.

Instead of opening a traditional restaurant, the team travelled to parties and events with their own equipment, preparing fresh pizzas for guests on location.

The idea quickly became a success.

Within a year, Los Perejiles had grown into a team of 24 workers, creating jobs and independence for people who were often overlooked by traditional employers.

What began with four friends refusing to accept rejection became a thriving business that proved disability does not determine someone’s potential.

They were repeatedly denied a seat at the table. So they built their own table and served pizza at it.

We have been experimenting with a new savoury microgreen mix. Great work team. Onion, sunflower, cress and mizuna. Vivid green and good. What do you think?
