Hi, I’m Lauren, the face behind this little candle business! I thought I’d share a few things you might not know about me.

🇬🇧➡️🇳🇿 1. I moved from England to New Zealand when I was 18 years old. I only knew my (now) husband and had no family or friends here. It was the biggest leap of faith I’ve ever taken.

👩‍🏫 2. I’m an early childhood teacher and absolutely love helping little people learn, grow, and thrive.

👦👦👦 3. I’m a mum to three boys, which means I’m completely outnumbered (especially if you count my husband too!).

🕯️ 4. I’ve wanted to quit this little side hustle more times than I can count. Building a business alongside motherhood and work isn’t always easy, but I’ve kept showing up and I’m so grateful I did.

☕ 5. My idea of a perfect evening is a candle burning, a hot drink in hand, and five minutes where nobody needs anything from me.

Running a small business can feel incredibly vulnerable sometimes.

I recently did a market and didn’t make a single sale. I’ve been a bit quiet since because, truthfully, I felt discouraged and questioned myself a lot afterward.

But I also know this is part of the journey people don’t often talk about. Not every market is successful. Not every launch takes off. Sometimes growth happens in ways we can’t immediately see.

So I’m showing up honestly instead of pretending everything is perfect.
