Here is the story of how we relocated from Auckland to Christchurch amidst a COVID-19 lockdown. This was quite a long drive which we did over 2 days and the journey also included the "Interislander" ferry ride across the Cook Strait. We also talk about what we had to do in order to be able to travel in and out of Auckland which was under lockdown 😊

In the fifth episode of our Northland Road Trip series, we drive along the renowned 90 Mile Beach in the far north of New Zealand. This was quite a fun adventure. Afterwards, we make a quick stop at the Coca Cola Lake on our way to the Bay of Islands. 🙂

In this episode, we visit Cape Reinga which is the Northwesternmost point of New Zealand and then camp at Spirits Bay (Piwhane) which happens to be the most accessible Northernmost point of New Zealand. Cape Reinga is often mistakenly thought of as being the Northernmost point of New Zealand. However, it is the Northwesternmost point of the country.

                                           

In the third episode of our Northland Road Trip series, we explore the Giant Sand Dunes in Te P**i and have fun sandboarding. Later on, we make our way towards the Northernmost region of New Zealand and camp right next to the ocean at Tapotupotu Bay.
