“Privilege Walk” is an interesting activity used to show the benefits and opportunities privilege provides to individuals, races, and cultural groups, depending on the situation. The participants were led to an open space within the school grounds, where they stood in a straight line shoulder to shoulder. The facilitator then made a statement, and the participants were supposed to take a step forward if it applied to them.

As part of the leadership development workshop, an activity called “Build Your Leader” was conducted. For this activity, the facilitator had brought a number of items with her that were male-oriented and female-oriented. The participants were divided into two teams. They were given the task of imagining and building what their leader looks like using the items, naming their leader, and preparing a list of personality traits that they believe characterize their leadership style. Some of the characteristics used by the participants to describe their leaders were persistent, inclusive, resilient, honest, and so on. In the end, the facilitator explained how the leader’s duties and responsibilities would be the same regardless of their gender.

We have never laughed before as much as during the two days of training at Khokana with wonderful twenty participants. A fun-filled leadership development workshop was organized as part of the Community Leadership, Engagement, Activism, and Response (CLEAR) initiative on the 16th and 17th of April 2022. The workshop was facilitated by Bisheshtha Shrestha, who modeled the workshop in a quite engaging, interactive, and fun way. The 20 women participating in the workshop along with the facilitator and staff were entertained throughout the workshop filling the hall with laughter. There were many activities that caught the attention of the participants such as "Build your leader", and "Privilege walk" which helped them unleash their creativity more.

Few glimpses of the two-day workshop. 28 women participated on the first day, and 35 women participated on the second day. Almost all women present in the workshop were either house-makers or farmers. However, there were a few women who owned grocery stores and local hotels too.
