Bardia National Park 🐅🐯
Bardia is Nepal’s largest and most remote lowland sanctuary (968 km²). It is a raw, quiet alternative to Chitwan, offering a true “off-the-beaten-path” safari.
Why Visit?
• Tiger Capital: It is the best place in Nepal to see Royal Bengal Tigers in the wild.
• Walking Safaris: One of the few parks where you can track wildlife on foot for a more thrilling experience.
• Rare Species: Home to the Greater One-horned Rhino, wild elephants, and rare Gangetic dolphins.
• No Crowds: Far fewer tourists than chitwan parks, meaning you have the jungle and the riverbanks to yourself.
• Authenticity: Offers a deep look into the traditional, undisturbed culture of the Tharu people.

When to Visit : March to May for the highest chance of tiger sightings near the riverbanks.
