SSU Foundation

Yesterday we had our final preliminary lecture! Jens and Olivier went through the details and planning for the upcoming study trip, and it definitely got us excited for the company visits in Marrakesh (and of course all the fun activities planned around it).
Afterwards, we headed to The Boules Club Utrecht for some jeu de boules and drinks. In just over two weeks, we’re off to Marrakesh🇲🇦

This week, our second preliminary lecture took place! During the session, each group presented their case to the innovation professors and fellow participants, followed by feedback and discussion. Afterwards, we enjoyed some pool and drinks at Poolcafé Hart van Utrecht, a nice moment to get to know each other better before the trip :)

Our kickoff meetings have officially taken place! Participants met their partner organizations, explored the cases they’ll be working on, and started shaping their approach. We’re excited to see these cases take form over the coming weeks. Swipe to get to know our partners for this year!

We went over the programme and schedule for the coming months and introduced the cases and our partners for this year. After the lecture, we headed to Mick O’Connell’s to get to know each other a bit better.

It was a great time, and we’re really looking forward to working with everyone in the months ahead. Even though not everyone could join us, the enthusiasm was already great!

Last but not least, we introduce our foreign relations, Olivier Spruijt

Hi, I’m Olivier Spruijt. Last year, I took part in the SSU program myself, and this year I’ll be taking on the role of Foreign relations. I’m 23 years old and currently finishing my master’s in Sustainable Business and Innovation. In my free time, I enjoy having drinks with friends, going for a run, or going to the gym. I’m looking forward to the SSU program!

Hey, my name is Jens and I am 19 years old. I am in my third year of the Bachelor in Science and Innovation Management. In my free time I stay active by playing hockey at USHC and I enjoy socializing and having drinks with friends. Last year, I did the SSU case for the Chamber of Commerce, which gave me the opportunity to join the study trip to Athens. This year, I’m really looking forward to being part of SSU again, this time as foreign relations to help organize the study trip together with Olivier.

Introducing our external relations, Annelique Ganzevles

Hi! My name’s Annelique and I’ll be fulfilling the role of external relations this year. I’ll do everything with acquiring the companies and with that the cases! In my personal life I am a third year student from the bachelor Science and Innovation Management. Furthermore I play volleyball and I love going to festivals and meeting up with friends :) I am excited to see what this year brings!!

Hi! My name is Floor de Jong, I am a third-year Science and Innovation Management student and the upcoming Treasurer of SSU. In my free time, you can often find me on the padel court, and I enjoy having a drink with friends afterwards. I am excited to take on the responsibility of managing the finances and to contribute to a great year for the foundation.
