Shotokan Karate Utrecht

Last week five of us went to Leysin in Switzerland for a Special Training. We thoroughly enjoyed the Swiss spirit, great company and beautiful surroundings. To top it off, we didn't leave empty handed: Tiemen got his Shodan and Edward left as a Nidan! Congratulations to both. Special Training Netherlands Shotokan Karate 2026 completed! We made a strong practice, supported by our seniors and the fighting spirit of 29 karateka's. Many thanks to Kees Venner from Holland Shotokan Karate Twente for organizing, to Jeroen van Oostrum from dojo Utrecht for leading the practices, and to everybody from Holland Shotokan Karate , Shotokan Karate Haan e.V. , SSK - Suisse Shotokan Karaté, .ska.org, Shotokan Karate-Dô Dôjo Berlin e.V. , and Shotokan Karate-do de España for joining!

This weekend, three of us joined the kumite seminar in Basel, led by Donato La Rocca of SSK - Suisse Shotokan Karaté . The program was very interesting, and we gained a ton of experience in sparring with different opponents, trying out things we had just learned. Both during and between practices, we enjoyed spending time with our friends, both from Switzerland and from Shotokan Karate Haan e.V. and Karate-Dô Dôjo Berlin e.V. . Many thanks to Donato for leading the practices and to everyone from SSK for your hospitality!

Tevreden terugkijkend op een nuttige ALV. Beslissingen genomen en begonnen aan het plannen van ons 10 -jarig jubileum dit jaar. Dank allemaal!

What a perfect way to end the year!
The Oliebollen Training was even better with karate friends joining us from Shotokan Karate Haan e.V. , Den Haag, and Curaçao. Thanks to Jeroen for leading and to Olof for the hospitality during the afterparty. Wishing everyone a wonderful 2026!
