Blessed Samhain, dear brothers, sisters and siblings!

We are very curious about your Samhain rituals and gatherings! What do you do to honour and celebrate?

Whatever you do, even if you are very very busy, tonight is a great night to light a candle and think of loved ones who have left the earth.

During Samhain the veils to the other worlds are very thin. You might feel a little heavy right now, so please be kind to yourself the coming days. The time frame of Samhain is not only tonight, it already opened a few days ago and will continue to be open for more days.

If you have more time and like to do something to honour and welcome your loved ones, you can do a beautiful ritual during dinner time. Set the table, light candles and put plates and cutlery down for the loved ones you want to honour and remember.

Remembering is a beautiful and sacred thing. Wishing you a magical time ✨

Last Friday the Archetypal Awakening retreat 2025 with Dancing Rituals' Alette Wttewaall started!

These brave and wild women are diving deep and finding wisdom in the depths. They then take this wisdom to the surface to create and dance with it... ✨

The archetype they encounter will guide them the way and suddenly.. magic happens!

This weekend we are at WILD WOMAN FEST in the Netherlands!

While I (Nancy) am preparing the last things for the dance workshop, a few last things!

💃 You can bring your own clothing to this workshop! It's nice to still be able to move freely, but I am encouraging PLAY! And you can do that very well with what you are wearing. Give yourself permission to express and feel good! One might feel amazing in a flowy skirt, the other might have a beautiful bra they LOVE and is always hiding under their clothes. Tights, skirts, fun tops, dresses, anything! I strongly believe that things you wear can influence your confidence level and energy!

💃 Please feel free to join in any body! I know very, very well that bodies are not always able to do what we want them to do, but that does NOT mean you can't dance well enough. Spoiler alert: there will actually be chairs involved in the choreography! 😏

💃 This will also not be a full blown workout (but of course movement is happening), we will dance with our energy and our presence. It's all about how you feel! We are going for wild, free, divine, playful and strong!

Sinds 2019 is Dancing Rituals een ontzettend gepassioneerde groep bij wie vanaf het begin de kostuums, archetypes en optredens een belangrijke rol hebben gespeeld. Na een paar jaar voelden Alette en Wendy dat ze deze ervaring en impact wilden delen met anderen.
Het invoelen, uitvergroten en belichamen van archetypes kan ontzettend transformerend zijn en die ervaring mogelijk maken voor iedereen..
Dat was de droom! ✨

Zo ontstond in 2022 voor het eerst het Archetype Awakening retreat! Deze dappere vrouwen waren de eerste lichting die in het donker en de diepte durfden te gaan en daarna vol in het licht te stappen.

Alette schrijft zelf dit over dat bijzondere eerste jaar:

"We wilden een plek scheppen waar het werken met je handen – vormen, voelen, maken – kon dienen als brug naar je binnenwereld. Want wat als je kunt helen, simpelweg door te maken? 🌿

En toen was daar onze eerste groep…
Een magische cirkel van wezens die elkaar vonden in kwetsbaarheid, kracht en creativiteit. We hebben gelachen, gehuild, geheeld.

We reisden samen – diep naar binnen én hoog naar boven. De processen, de prachtige creaties, de verbinding… Ontzettend puur en transformerend voor iedereen die erbij was. Onvergetelijk!"

💌 Voel jij een stiekeme ja van binnen? Eind 23-25 juni is er weer een nieuw retreat vol creatie, verstilling en verbinding.

JIJ en de draak! 🐉

Je heb vast het verhaal van een moedige ridder die zijn angst trotseerde, het monster versloeg en daarmee een volk bevrijdde wel eens gehoord.. Maar wat als we je vertellen dat de draak niet alleen buiten hem leefde… maar ook ín hem?
En dat wij allemaal onze eigen draak dragen – én onze eigen innerlijke ridder?

In elk van ons schuilt een Warrior, een Rebel, een Healer of misschien zelfs de Draak zelf. Deze archetypes vormen het innerlijke landschap van onze ziel. Ze helpen ons groeien, confronteren en helen. Ze nodigen ons uit om onze eigen mythische reis aan te gaan 🔥

Archetypes zijn universele oersymbolen die voortkomen uit ons collectieve onbewuste. Ze roepen delen van onszelf wakker die anders misschien onbewust bleven. Door met deze archetypes te werken kunnen we oude, beschermende patronen zichtbaar maken en transformeren.

Al eeuwenlang spreken archetypes tot onze verbeelding. Ze komen tot leven in mythen en sages, telkens in verschillende gedaantes. Denk aan: The Warrior, The Lover, The Queen/King, The Rebel, The Shapeshifter & The Healer.

Deze archetypische figuren onthullen een wereld vol diepe betekenis, waarin alles een doel en intentie heeft. Door deze oude verhalen te verkennen, verbinden we ons met onze eigen wilde psyche.

Iedereen heeft ze in zich.
We dragen ze allemaal in ons, hoewel sommige archetypes misschien meer vertrouwd aanvoelen dan andere. Welk archetype resoneert bij jou? Welke spreekt je aan? En welke is misschien compleet nieuw of triggert onverwachts iets?

Since Elfia has said goodbye to Kasteel de Haar last weekend after 25 years, we were thinking back to bringing our Wailing Women and Sensual Sirens to these magical grounds in 2024 💫

We were honoured and so happy to perform at this magical festival with this enchanting castle as our background.

Meeting all these wonderful souls was absolutely enchanting to us and we loved your sincere emotions and reactions!

Vanuit veiligheid & nieuwsgierigheid jouw creatie tot leven brengen ✨

Voelt het spannend om een week lang te duiken in de wereld van archetypen? Om de verborgen delen van jezelf waar je naar verlangt, maar waar je nog niet helemaal klaar voor bent aan de oppervlakte te laten komen?
Of misschien roept het idee om een prachtige hoofdtooi te creëren een gevoel van onzekerheid op en denk je: "Zoiets moois kan ík nooit maken!" 💭

Wanneer je zenuwstelsel deze signalen van onveiligheid ontvangt, kan het lastig zijn om nieuwe paden te verkennen en je volledig open te stellen voor de magie van het onbekende. Dat is ontzettend herkenbaar en begrijpelijk! Maar.. je kunt je zenuwstelsel bewust kalmeren en jezelf het gevoel van veiligheid geven dat nodig is om deze reis te maken. 🌱

Wanneer je zenuwstelsel zich ontspant, komt er ruimte voor magische transformaties en kun je creativiteit stromen als een rivier van mogelijkheden. Het is dan pas mogelijk om nieuwe delen van jezelf te ontdekken die je misschien nooit voor mogelijk had gehouden! ✨

De technieken om bewust met die veiligheid bezig te zijn, krijgen ruim aandacht in het proces tijdens Archetypal Awakening. Zo krijg je de tools om vanuit nieuwsgierigheid en joy aan de slag te gaan.

Voel je ergens een diepe JA, maar is het tegelijkertijd spannend? Dat is helemaal oké. 🌿

Je hoeft het niet alleen te doen, ik sta klaar om al je vragen te beantwoorden en je op je pad te begeleiden.

Een nieuw jaar, een nieuw retreat ✨🌿
Yes! Dit jaar organiseert Dancing Rituals opnieuw het Archetypal Awakening retreat en wat hebben we er zin in!
Zoals je misschien al weet, neemt Wendy de komende periode de tijd om zich te focussen op haar eigen artistieke praktijk. Ze zal een inwaartse reis maken, terug naar de essentie en de kern van haar creativiteit.
Dit gaat de komende tijd haar complete focus vragen.
Alette en Wendy hebben besloten dat Alette dit jaar het retreat alleen zal begeleiden. We zijn supertrots op de ontwikkeling van ons retreat en het voelde heel goed om het wel door te laten gaan!

Dit geeft ook de mogelijkheid om dit jaar met een frisse blik naar het programma te kijken en nieuwe aspecten te introduceren. Alette heeft zich de afgelopen periode verdiept in de Polyvagaal Theorie, dat gaat absoluut een waardevolle aan- en invulling zijn van het proces!

Meer over de nieuwe aanvullende inhoud volgt in een volgende post! Het retreat zal doorgaan op 27 juni t/m 1 juli 2025!

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

Where to begin.. Attention for the importance of fighting for the feminine becomes more and more important and urgent by the minute.

As the past months (but actually years) unfolded, women (and the feminine and lgbtqia+) in many places all over the world already got or are getting silenced and stripped off of their rights. 'Happy Women's Day' does not feel right anymore to say.

Dancing Rituals will always, always, always be a voice and tool for expression of the wisdom, richness, colours, intuition and leadership of the feminine. We will keep celebrating and highlighting that untill the end of time! ✨

While we are very very not visible on social media right now (whoops, sorry), our fire is getting bigger en wilder by the minute. We are working on Project Untamed and have some updates next week. This project is already hovering around us for two years and it is getting more urgent by the second, it seems. That's what it feels like for us, anyway 🔥

For now, we want to thank all the wild, wild women we already had the honour to meet, dance and create with, all our sisters and siblings who don't get the song 'Labour' out of their heads today, all masculine allies, all who are suffering in silence and all those who have fought for us, now or generations before.

Be loud and silent, wild and pretty, bold and soft 🫶

There is and will always be space for that with us.
