📱⚙️Free-standing kinetic machines in corten steel, polished stainless steel and brass that take the scroll out of our thumbs and perform it for us. A near-silent motor drives the movement, turning an almost unconscious gesture into something physical and deliberate.

Across the screens runs an endless feed of faces. None of them exists. Every portrait is generated, a crowd without a single person in it.

With ‘Infinite Scroll - Social Dance’, Tjep. makes a familiar habit suddenly visible and asks what happens when we stop scrolling ourselves and start watching instead.

🏍️ A motorcycle running on swamp gas, a car fuelled by waste plastic and an electric flying bicycle. Gijs builds vehicles that look familiar, but run on unexpected sources of energy.

Through hands-on experimentation, Schalkx challenges the assumptions behind technology and mobility, exposing the time, labour and raw materials behind our drive to move faster and further.

🚗Onderweg naar een toekomst (‘Towards a Future’) asks how self-evident our current ways of moving have become, and what other forms of mobility we might imagine.

🪾🥛 In The Devil’s Milk, Shahar Livne Design Studio explores rubber—an overlooked material embedded in everyday life, found across surgical gloves, car tyres, and underground cables.

⚒️ She works directly with its many raw and physical forms, using intricate marquetry, material experimentation, and furniture design to bring a turbulent history of colonial trade, Indigenous traditions, and environmental damage to the surface.

🛞 Ranging from living tree bark to petrochemical synthesis, Livne presents our history with rubber as elastic and contradictory: both sacred and violent, ordinarily industrial yet charged with planetary consequence.

🐙 These Soft Companions are responsive, creature-like textile objects that respond to touch and their surroundings, stimulating our senses and providing comfort against loneliness.

Combining naturally dyed knitwear, sensors, and pneumatic robotics, kaͣtͭrͬiͥjn - Textile & Interaction designer creates beings that breathe, purr, emit warmth, and seek sunlight, nurting moments of mutual care through touch, grooming, and shared presence.

Pressed, bent, and deformed. 🗜️ Tim Teven Studio reveals raw material character through mechanical force and technical control. Using self-developed production methods, the studio steers industrial metal past its standard limits.

🧫 Micro-algae encapsulated in small gel pearls drive JiTiBa’s modular water-treatment system.

Their Algaefyer MK.2 is engineered to strip contaminants from sewage sludge while reclaiming valuable raw materials.

Bridging biology, environmental engineering, and industrial design, the startup pulls their laboratory research out of academia and onto practical applications. Equipped with modular maintenance bays and precision flow controls, the system is built to prove that bio-filtration can scale.

🫥📡 Simon Weckert’s Digital Camouflage uses textile patterns to trick AI surveillance cameras monitoring public space.

The garment’s hypnotic patterns cause tracking algorithms to misread human figures, rendering the wearer invisible to the machine.

Rather than promising total anonymity or evasion, Digital Camouflage acts as a wearable protest against the non-consensual automated processing of our bodies in the city.
