The ETV (Elektrotechnische Vereeniging), the student association for Electrical Engineering at TU Delft, is celebrating its 120th anniversary today.

For 120 years, ETV has brought students together through tradition, innovation, study tours, activities, and unforgettable memories. From iconic lustrum stunts to legendary trips, ETV has built a rich legacy across generations — and that story continues to grow every day.

Oh no, our EEMCS Communications colleague Roel Dik is missing... Elfie doesn't seem to understand the meaning of retirement. Luckily, Elfie has found a cardboard cutout of Roel, with his detective skills... 🕵‍♂️

Ssst! 🤫 Our Elf on the Shelf is watching a movie, while enjoying buckets of popcorn. 🍿 But what kind of movie is Elfie watching? Well, of course, the love cam of the Peregrine falcon that wanders our campus, and has a home at Bouwkunde (BK) and at EEMCS. 🦅

Guess who's back? 🧑‍🎄 It is our very own EEMCS Elf on the shelf, Elfie! 🌟 Judging from his outfit, his meeting with Gingy from Shrek went a little sideways... 🙈 It also felt a little wrong that he brought Gingy's friends to the office for a snack, but at the same time, it felt very right... 😋🍪🍪

A new interactive online textbook brings Linear Algebra to life! 📊📈 The Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics (DIAM), in close collaboration with the Programme of Innovation in Mathematics Education (TU Delft | PRIME), has launched a new interactive online textbook on linear algebra, designed specifically for engineering students at the bachelor level.

The book introduces the fundamentals of linear algebra from a geometrical perspective, starting with vectors, lines, and planes, before moving on to core topics such as systems of linear equations, matrix arithmetic, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and orthogonality. More advanced subjects, including symmetric matrices and discrete dynamical systems, are explored in later chapters.
