At BPO, every colleague contributes to delivering good work. Today we introduce Roos Hack, who is a product development engineer and since recently our internship supervisor:

Hello, my name is Roos.
After completing my Integrated Product Design studies at , I started at BPO as a Product Development Engineer. Now, a year and a half later, I am still happy with this choice.

In my role I am mainly concerned with developing products until they are ready for production. What makes this work interesting is that we support clients in designing products in all kinds of sectors and in various phases of a development project. This means that as an engineer you never stop learning. Every project brings something new, whether it is a technical challenge, a different way of working or new insights from the client. You continue to develop yourself and apply that knowledge in the next design.

This keeps the work varied and challenging!

Since recently, our online portfolio is divided in five categories: construction & installation, consumer, devices & parts, logistics and packaging.

Especially with developing designs for packaging, there are very strict requirements. Production numbers are often high and a well-optimised product can provide many benefits. This also applies to the ice cream packaging from and the 'tapje'.

Ease of use and design are essential when designing new containers, lids, caps, and bottles. In addition, BPO considers crucial aspects such as thin-walled injection moulding, automation, and filling.
