Last night we had a great dinner with our successors, the XIX board of De Zilveren Rijder

Last night, in collaboration with the VCV Finance kring, we successfully organised an event at the ‘Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club’. Based at the beautiful premises ‘Industria’ in Amsterdam. The theme of the night was ‘Money and the central bank’ and how to move on from here.

Bruno de Haas and Willem Middelkoop were the speakers of the night and to say that they raised some room for discussion would be an understatement. In combination with a panel consisting of Lex Hoogduin, Hans Betlem, Luxas Daalder, Diederik Schmull and Dirk de Jong, an interesting and fascinating discussion took place.

Furthermore, we welcomed Gregor Vincent Witteveen who gave a presentation about his new book ‘Congo’.

With a room filled with alumni and current students from Nyenrode we gladly conclude that the evening was not only a success, but that it was also a great opportunity to exchange stories and experiences with current and old students from our business university.

On behalf of De Zilveren Rijder we would like to thank everyone who helped organise the event and we look forward to seeing you at future events!

Here is some info about two great events coming up soon!

The first event is the "Refreshment Day". It will be held in combination with Ondernemend Nyenrode, and the VCV Alumni Network. The subject is the “the future of Europe” and the speakers of the day include European Commissioner Neelie Kroes, CEO of TNT Tex Gunning, philosopher Rob Riemen, IT entrepreneur Marque Joosten, along with moderation by Mark Blaisse.

The second event is “Monetaire economy anon nu”. This event will be held in Dutch, and is organized by the VCV Finance Kring, and De Zilveren Rijder will be present to help out. Guest speakers are Willem Middelkoop and Bruno de Haas with a panel consisting of Prof. dr. Lex Hoogduin, Lukas Daalder, Diederik Schmull and Dirk de Jong.
