Do Bold

Yes, they are heroes. No doubt about it.

But something about how quickly we use that word has been sitting with me.

Calling delivery workers and frontline staff “heroes” is true, they are showing up despite uncertainty, despite risk, despite everything happening around us.

But we also need to ask a harder question.

Why do they have to be heroes right now?

Are they on the road because it’s truly essential?
Or because it’s convenient?
Are they choosing to be there freely?
Or do they feel they have no real option?

When we label someone a hero, we should be careful not to normalize the risk they’re carrying.

Respect is not just praise.
Respect is reducing unnecessary demand.
Respect is companies making it absolutely clear that safety comes first, without pressure, without consequences.
Respect is each of us pausing before placing an order and asking, “Can this wait?”

They deserve recognition.
But they also deserve protection.

They are heroes.
But they shouldn’t have to be.

This is the first mother and children we want to send home after being stranded for more than 5 years. She is a mother leaving on the streets with 4 year old twins, a boy and a girl. This is the work behind her story:
We are urgently working to help Kenyan women stranded in Saudi return home - they are all single mothers and penalised for giving birth out of wedlock.

⚠️ After months of advocacy and working through complex bureaucracies, they have finally secure the necessary travel documents and visas to return to Kenya.

We are urgently raising funds to purchase flight tickets so these women and their children can return home safely before their documents expire.

❤️ These women have endured incredible hardship :

Being ostracized for becoming mothers outside of marriage. Escaping exploitative labour or trafficking situations. Living in the streets or unsafe conditions without a way to go home for years.

✈️ We’re raising funds to purchase flight tickets to get these women and their children home, safely and with dignity. All donations will go directly towards the flight tickets for each woman and her child(ren). Each one-way ticket from Saudi Arabia to Kenya. Each plane ticket costs around 345USD.

💡How Funds Will Reach the Beneficiaries:
The funds will be collected by Do Bold, and we will book flights directly with our travel agency on behalf of each woman and child. This ensures transparency, accountability, and immediate access to secure the best available fares within the travel window and support if any issues arise before or during travel.
