Happy Birthday to our amazing Procurement Officer Richard Peter Jnr 🥳
Thank you for the care, diligence and commitment yoi bring to the team. We celebrate you and wish you a beautiful year filled with growth and new possibilities.
To mark International Literacy Day 2026, Tent2School joined the Adamawa State Ministry of Education, the Education in Emergencies Working Group, CSOs, development partners and other stakeholders for a press conference reflecting on this year’s theme, “Literacy for People, the Planet and Prosperity.”
As the world marks 60 years of International Literacy Day, an estimated 739 million young people and adults still lack basic literacy skills, with women disproportionately affected.
At Tent2School, we believe literacy is foundational to learning, participation and opportunity. For children affected by conflict and displacement, this also means ensuring that disruption does not become the end of their education.
There is progress to celebrate, but millions are still waiting for the opportunity to read, learn and thrive.
Literacy must remain within everyone’s reach.

A school should never become a place a child learns to fear.
Yet for millions of children living through conflict and crisis, the simple act of going to school can come with risks no child should have to carry.
Protecting education is more than protecting classrooms. It is protecting the people within them, the right to keep learning, and the future that education makes possible.
Today, we are reminded that education should never be a target.

Literacy is more than the ability to read and write. It gives people the tools to understand their world, make informed choices and build better futures.
This , we celebrate literacy as a foundation for people, the planet and prosperity.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. 📚🌍

Our Teaching Forward webinar, a training session for teachers and education professionals, brought participants together to explore how innovative pedagogies, AI, and technology can support teaching, learning, and wider education practice.
The session combined practical demonstrations with discussions on learner-centred approaches, using AI and digital tools for lesson planning, assessment, research and content development, and adapting technology to different learning contexts.
By strengthening both pedagogical and digital competencies, Teaching Forward is helping educators build the knowledge and practical skills needed to adapt their practice and better prepare learners for a changing world.
