We made it to the FEDERAL 😃😃

I’m so so excited to share that i was given an opportunity to serve as a trainer at the Waste to Wealth Skill-Up Training organized by the Federal Ministry of Environment in collaboration with Lympson Leosentino Limited.

This training was focused on empowerment through environmentally sound waste management, especially for vulnerable groups across Itu/Ibiono, Etinan/Nsit Ubium, Ibesikpo Asutan, Eket/Onna/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituencies of Akwa Ibom State.

Being part of this initiative means a lot to me because it aligns deeply with the work I do, transforming waste into valuable resources, building green skills, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for our communities.

From 2nd–3rd December 2025, we equipped participants with hands-on knowledge, practical skills, and new mindsets that support a greener economy and improved livelihoods.

I’m grateful for the platform to share my experience, inspire others, and continue contributing to a more sustainable Akwa Ibom and Nigeria at large.

Let’s keep turning waste into wealth.😃

Hello😃

I just wrapped up my training in Meridian Heights International School, Umuahia, and honestly, I’m so proud of them.☺️
The eagerness in their eyes, the way they were so ready to learn, and how quickly a few of them caught on gave me so much joy.

It’s one thing to have the knowledge, but it’s another thing entirely to see people genuinely excited to receive it and make something beautiful out of it.

I’m super happy with the results, and I can’t wait to share how our exhibitions was💃🏻💃🏻.

This is Abia State, Aba South in Umuogele community secondary school, Ohanku.

And guess what???

It’s my first time training a school where the principal left a whole day for us, like from 9am to 2pm, if she didn’t stop us, we would have slept there😂, no student was tired, we enjoyed everything single moment.

Training children on upcycling is something I’m really passionate about. I strongly believe that the earlier we teach them the value of waste, the better. Many of the things we throw away daily can actually be transformed into something useful, beautiful, and even sellable.

Upcycling is more than just a skill, it’s a mindset. When kids learn how to turn waste into art or functional items, they start seeing possibilities instead of problems. It helps them become more creative, and environmentally conscious.

For me, the goal has always been clear, to reduce waste and create job opportunities. And what’s the better way to do that, than to start with the younger generation? When they understand the “why” behind upcycling, they’re not just learning a skill, they’re also building a future where they can earn, create, and inspire others to do the same.

That’s why I’m committed to teaching them early. Because in their hands, waste becomes wealth, and that's the kind of future we need.

During this very traning, materials where abundant, but still, it wasn’t enough, they literally wanted to try everything😃, and In just one day, they were able to achieve few, imagine giving them a full week of consistent training??, I bet you, their finishing will be great 👍

The first slide photo are the student that stood by the window, creating something different, there were only 30 student selected for this training, and the rest hanged around the window doing something different, when I saw what they were doing, I was so happy, this is exactly how I started, and that everyday consistency has brought me to were I am today 😊

Finally got some photos from our Abeokuta training.

Day one started with a challenge, no tables, but it turned into an opportunity for creativity and adaptability. Participants embraced the situation and still produced outstanding results.

From what most people would consider “waste” (old cartons), they crafted beautiful picture frames. This hands on activity not only reduced waste but also highlighted the potential of upcycling as a tool for environmental sustainability, skill development, and community empowerment.

Moments like this affirm why these initiatives are so important, they teach practical solutions, inspire innovation, and open new pathways for green opportunities.

My name is Esther Ubak, a creative artist and the founder of Audrey’s Craft and Signature.

I specialize in transforming waste materials into beautiful, functional art pieces, from textured wall frames to handcrafted decor.
What started as a simple passion has grown into a purpose-driven journey of promoting sustainability, creativity, and impact.

Through my work, I have had the opportunity to train and inspire individuals, especially young people, to see value in what is often discarded. For me, art is not just about creating something beautiful, it’s about telling stories, sparking conversations, and protecting our environment.

I’m excited to share more of my creations, process, and journey with you all.

I may not always have the perfect words for my art, but I know this, every piece I make carries a part of me, and maybe, a part of you too

Hello 😍

It my very first time training an elementary class 🎉.

Honestly, I was hesitant at first because I usually work with teenagers and above. The tools we use in upcycling, especially knives and fire are not things I normally feel comfortable introducing to little kids.

But this session turned out so beautiful. With the help of amazing teachers guiding the children side by side, I got to watch them understand what they were doing and actually do it on their own. The joy on their faces and the results we got made me so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone.

This experience has shown me that even the little ones can surprise us when given the chance.
