*The Ukanafun Blue River in Akwa ibom State that flow side by side but doesn’t mix*

Original color of the other side of the River is turquoise and not blue but the native called it Blue color just because they didn’t have the right word for “TURQUOISE” back then.

This River was used in the 17th century as a slave route by SLAVE MASTERS. The great and popular King Jaja of Opobo you all know and have heard of was taken to exile through this route.

It will interest you to know that THE UKANAFUN BLUE RIVER is located in Edem Idim community in Ukanafun LGA of Akwa ibom state. The two Rivers are marked by blue and white colors respectively. Both Rivers flow side by side for a very long distance on a common watercourse without mixing no matter the circumstances.

This mystery River attracts tourists from all corners of the world for adventure, research, recreation, nature appreciation and riches of different cultures.

God indeed created the earth to perfection.
