Constantly using your phone while charging means it takes longer than usual to get fully charged which means more electricity consumed, more money spent and more impact on the environment. It can also cause the lithium ion battery to degrade faster than it would otherwise. That is because your battery heats up slightly when you constantly use your phone and when you charge it. Doing both at the same time, heats up the battery even more and puts a lot of stress on it.

Challenge yourself today, this week and this month, to spend less time on your phone by leaving your phone when it's charging.
