We've always neglected these words but forgetting the power they carry, oh you think because it won't change the fact that the act had already been done so there is not need saying this...? No dearest, there is always a need to say it, it may not change anything seeing that the act is already done, but it will definitely change something.... It can change the mind of the other person....
It can calm the person down
It makes you look humble
It makes you look responsible

So you see, it might not change the fact that, a sin had already been committed, but it can clean the memory of such sin off the mind of the person who was offended
