Reducing Criminality and Communal Conflict in Bende LGA

We are excited to announce the successful One-Day Sensitization/Awareness Outreach and Capacity Building Training held at Itumbuzo, Bende LGA, Abia State. This impactful event focused on equipping stakeholders with tools to address criminality and communal conflict in their communities.

The program was organized by the Sanab Development Foundation (SDF) with the support of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND). Participants included traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, religious leaders, and women’s associations, People Living with Disabilities, all united in a shared commitment to fostering peace and development in the region.

Key Highlights:

✅ Engaging sessions on conflict resolution, community security, and the role of youth in peacebuilding.
✅ Collaboration between community stakeholders to develop actionable strategies for sustainable peace.
✅ Inspiring dialogue on preventing criminality through education, economic empowerment, and partnership with law enforcement.

By working together, we can create safer, more harmonious communities where everyone thrives. A big thank you to PIND Foundation for their unwavering support and to the people of Bende LGA for their active participation.

Stay tuned as we continue to drive peacebuilding efforts across Abia State!
