*CUSTECH Osara Inaugurates First-Ever Student Representative Council (SRC) Executive*

The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, has officially inaugurated its pioneer Student Representative Council (SRC) Executive.
The historic event took place today, June 27th, 2025 at the university’s Senate Chamber, with top management officials, faculty members, and students in attendance.

The Legal Advisor of the university, Barrister Abigail Ojochide Tayo, Esq., administered the oath of office to the new SRC executives, charging them to uphold the principles of accountability, transparency and integrity.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, congratulated the newly sworn-in executives and urged them to strike a balance between their academic pursuits and leadership responsibilities.

"Leadership is a privilege that comes with great responsibility," the VC stated. "While you serve as representatives of the student body, your primary duty remains your academic excellence. You must also discharge your duties with integrity and avoid being used to disrupt the peace and smooth academic calendar that CUSTECH is known for."

The Dean of Student Affairs, Engr. Dr. Shaib Shehu, lauded the university management for establishing the SRC, describing it as a critical step toward amplifying students' voices on campus. He advised the new executives to embrace dialogue in resolving issues and to leverage their positions to foster unity and progress among students.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated council, Comrade Isah Yahaya, President of the SRC, expressed gratitude to the university management for prioritizing student welfare. He assured that the council would serve as a vital communication bridge between students and the university management.

The SRC comprises representatives from all faculties in the university.

The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, a university wholly owned by Kogi Sate, has commenced 2024/2025 admission into the 50 academic programmes/courses of the University approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The courses are domiciled in the eight faculties of the university.

*Faculties and Programmes/Courses Available*
The courses that are offered for admissions are available on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) platform for the candidates to select from. The faculties and programmes/courses are as follows:
FACULTY OF SCIENCE: Applied Geophysics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics and Statistics;
FACULTY OF COMPUTING AND INFORMATICS: Computer Science, Cyber-Security, Software Engineering, Information Technology, and Library and Information Science;
FACULTY OF ENGINEERING: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mining Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering
FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES: Architecture, Building, Urban and Regional Planning, Surveying and Geo-informatics and Geography.
FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION: Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Computer Science Education, Geography Education, Mathematics Education and Physics Education and Technology/Technical Education;
FACULTY OF MANGEMENT AND SOCIAL SCIENCES: Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Actuarial Science, Transport and Logistics Management and Economics;
COLLEGE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES/FACULTY OF BASIC AND HEALTH SCIENCES: Anatomy, Physiology, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy, and Radiography; and
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE: Agriculture

*Change of University*
Candidate should normally have selected Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara as university of first choice during the process of applying for admission. However, a candidate who wishes to switch to CUSTECH, Osara should effect the change on the JAMB portal and select Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara as university of first choice. The candidate should select also the desired programme/course for which he/she has the requisite UTME and O’Level subject combinations.

*Eligibility For Post-UTME Registration*
The candidate should ensure that he/she has the right UTME subject combination and at least five credits in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, as required for the programme selected. Candidate who scored a minimum of 140 in the UTME can apply. For programme specific requirements go to or click https://custech.edu.ng/2024-2025-admission-exercise
Candidate should ensure that his/her O’Level results are successfully uploaded on the JAMB portal for admissions. Any candidate whose results are not uploaded will not be available on JAMB’s Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for the admission to be processed.

*Registration for Post-UTME*
Candidate should proceed to the University website, www.custech.edu.ng, or click this link, https://eportal.custech.edu.ng/utme/index.php to register for post-UTME screening. The Direct Entry candidate should also register and upload his/her results. Again, the candidate should ensure that he/she has the right UTME subject combination and at least five credits in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, as required for the programme selected. The registration attracts a fee of N2,000 (Two thousand Naira only).

*Deadline*:
Change of institution to CUSTECH. Osara and registration for post-UTME screening should be concluded *on or before Friday, 11th October 2024.*
