REWIND:
Remi Omowaye, former Commissioner for Works under the administration of Gboyega Oyetola and the Spokesperson to AMBO Campaign Council 2026 live on TV in 2019 promising that half salary of civil servants owed by the same APC administration would be paid.
Unfortunately, throughout the 4 years of Oyetola’s administration, not only did they fail to pay a single month of half salary arrears out of 30-month, they also treated workers with utter disdain.
Civil servants were denied promotion, Permanent Secretary position was completely eradicated for 4 years, cooperative deductions were never remitted etc
They are back to deceive Osun people again with promises they are never known to deliver, with same actors that subjected Osun people to untold hardship. We are now wiser and can differentiate between packaged lies and visible result.
Adeleke has not only paid 17-month out of 30, he has completely revitalized the civil service and restored its lost glory. Osun is in one accord with Imole, we will never go back to era of darkness

Governor Adeleke Opens Rehabilitated Government House, Says Upgrading State Assets is a Policy
OSOGBO: 17/04/2024
Governor Ademola Adeleke on Saturday afternoon opened the newly rehabilitated Government House at Osogbo with top officials and dignitaries joining the Governor for inspection of the facilities, prayers and commissioning.
The rehabilitation covers the main house, the completion of an abandoned multi-bedroom Guest House, remodeling of many of the structures, refixing of many derelict facilities and facelift of the entire Government House.
Accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; the House Speaker, Hon Adewale Egbedun; the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye; the Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye and members of the State Executive Council, Governor Adeleke officially moved into the Government House amidst prayers and heavy rain across Osogbo yesterday.
Clerics across the faiths were on ground to offer prayers and bless the House while top leaders presented goodwill messages.
Addressing the dignitaries in a short programme, the Governor said his administration is committed to upgrading state assets irrespective of whether such programmes are inherited or commenced by him.
“ I have upgraded the Government House just as I rehabilitated the Governor’s office. We ensured the Government House is rescued from the open neglect we inherited. You can all see the upgraded facilities which now places our state in good stead in the comity of states.
“I met an abandoned Guest House where top dignitaries can be hosted instead of huge bills on outside accommodation. I ordered its rehabilitation and today it is completed. The presidential Lodge I met on the ground was in a terrible state. Our team fixed it.
“Our administration is passionate about upgrading state assets because they are for generations even yet unborn. We must act genuinely on the mantra that government is a continuum. Abandoning projects or state assets as Osun witnessed in recent past is a sign of bad leadership
“As our government is completing old projects and initiating new ones, we are also maintaining and upgrading the old structures, refixing them for effective usage of the state.
“To the good people of Osun state, your Governor has moved into the Government House. I pledge to redouble our efforts at delivering on the five point agenda. We are truly fixated on sustaining the delivery of good governance”, the Governor was quoted as saying.
The Orangun of Oke Ila, HRH, Oba Dokun Abolarin was present to give royal blessings.

March Salary is to Be Paid alongside Promotion Arrears-Osun Government
The government of Osun state has attributed delay in the payment of March salary to ongoing computation of promotion arrears of civil servants promoted without pay in the last four years.
According to a statement issued on Friday, "the compilation of what is due to each promoted officer is followed with due diligence to ensure that there is no error in the eventual payment.
"Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed that compilation, analysis and computation of the promotion arrears should be completed and paid to the affected civil servants. That payment His Excellency insisted must be made alongside the March salary.
"Osun state Government therefore wishes to reassure Osun workers that the payment of March salary is accompanied with payment of promotion arrears, hence the few days delay.
"The March salary alongside the promotion arrears of promoted civil servants will be ready next week", the statement concluded.
