At the National Diaspora Day Celebrations 2026, hosted by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), we reaffirmed our commitment to supporting Nigerians in the diaspora with innovative banking solutions that keep them connected to home while enabling them to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth and development.

Representing UBA at the event were Mr. Anant Rao, Group Executive, Budget, Performance Management & Strategy, who delivered a goodwill address on behalf of the Bank, reaffirming our commitment to advancing diaspora banking, promoting financial inclusion, and strengthening partnerships that create lasting impact, alongside Mrs. Uzoamaka Oyeka, Group Head, Diaspora and Remittances.

We were also honoured to receive a Recognition Award from NiDCOM in acknowledgement of our continued contributions to diaspora engagement and our efforts to connect Africans across the globe through innovative financial solutions.
