*YOU’RE GOD'S HOPE FOR THE WORLD*

_Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God_ *(Hebrews 10:7)*

Sometimes, we try to get God to do something about the world, about the plight of suffering humanity, not realizing we’re actually His hope for the world. We’re His outstretched arm of blessing to the world. He blessed us, and made us the conveyors of His blessings to our world.

His Word says He made all things beautiful; He created humanity to live in peace, joy, safety, prosperity and abundance. He wants us to keep things that way. We’re supposed to look at the things happening in the nations that aren’t consistent with the will of God and effect changes.We’re the ones to prove His good, acceptable, and perfect will in the earth (Romans 12:2).

It brings to mind the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:18: *“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”* Understand what this means: we give vent to the glory of God in the earth. We give vent to His will. We allow the good things of God to come into this world.

We’re the ones to scrutinize everything in the world and decide which is acceptable or is in the perfect will of God, and then bring that into this earth. It's our calling. No wonder the Bible says, *“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God… the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bo***ge of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God”* (Romans 8:19-21).

We’re the hope of the world to bring joy, righteousness, peace and prosperity. We’re the ones to deliver the world from the bo***ge of corruption into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, and we’re at it. Hallelujah!

*CONFESSION*

_I’m God’s outstretched arm of blessing to my world; a beacon of hope to a hurting world. Through me, the Lord spreads His righteousness and brings newness, excellence, perfection, beauty and life to all creation, delivering them into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. Hallelujah!_

*FURTHER STUDY:*

*Jeremiah 1:10-12* See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. *11* Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? *Romans 8:19-21 AMPC* For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. *20* For the creation (nature) was subjected to [a]frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it—[yet] with the hope *21* That nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bo***ge to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God’s children.

*Mark 16:15-18* And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. *16* He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. *17* And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; *18* They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

*THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE DIVINE ESSENCE*

_That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination]_ *(2 Timothy 1:6 AMPC)*

Think about this: The same Spirit by which Jesus cast out devils, healed the sick, raised the dead and did all the amazing miracles that He did, lives in you today. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God; He’s the divine essence. He’s exactly like Jesus. He doesn’t receive power from God; He’s the POWER of God! He’s the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father.

The Holy Spirit isn’t less than the Father, nor is He less than Jesus. The Bible says it was Him that raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11). This Holy Spirit has also vitalized your hitherto death-prone body. Your body is now His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). Hallelujah! What does this mean for you?

It means if ever your body is afflicted, if any wound or anomaly surfaces in your body, it’ll be taken care of by the Holy Spirit. He perambulates in you to ensure nothing goes wrong in or with your physical body. This is the reality! So, every so often, activate His power in you by speaking in tongues and affirming His Word.

You don’t have to attend *“revival”* meetings to activate the power of the Spirit. Just start declaring His Word concerning your life, and before long, His divine power will course through your being. Blessed be God!

*CONFESSION*

_Everything in my body is touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. There’s life in me. There’s no situation I can’t change, for the inherent power to do exceeding abundantly above all that I could ask, think or imagine is within me. I’m infused with divine strength, and the glory of God is revealed through me. Hallelujah!_

*FURTHER STUDY:*

*Acts 1:8* But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

*1 Timothy 4:14 AMPC* Do not neglect the gift which is in you, [that special inward endowment] which was directly imparted to you [by the Holy Spirit] by prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands upon you [at your ordination].

*Romans 8:10-11 ESV* But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. *11* If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus[a] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

TOPIC: FAITH: THE EFFECT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever (Isaiah 32:17).

Our opening verse lists quietness and assurance as the effect of righteousness; that’s faith! Faith is the quiet or confident assurance that things favourably expected shall come to pass: “Faith is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen…” (Hebrews 11:1 TLB). This perfectly describes the effect of righteousness we read about in our opening verse. It could have simply read, “And the effect of righteousness shall be faith.”

In all of the Old Testament, the word “faith” appears only twice and it wasn’t in connection with people demonstrating faith toward God. The first time it was used in the Old Testament was in Deuteronomy 32:20. The next time was Habakkuk 2:4: “…but the just shall live by his faith”; a prophetic reference to the new creation. But now, faith has come! It’s our lifestyle. Being born again, we were born righteous and the effect of righteousness is mountain-moving faith. Hallelujah!

Because of righteousness, you have power over every crisis; you rule over the elements and corrupting influences of this world. You can live without fear, worries, conflicts and agitations. Isaiah 54:14 says, “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” Hallelujah!

No more fear or oppression in your life because you’re established in Christ’s righteousness. You’re no longer in the jurisdiction of darkness; of those who are oppressed by circumstances, situations, demon spirits, etc. You’ve been translated into the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son; the realm of blessings, dominion and glory. Praise God!

CONFESSION
I walk in the consciousness of God’s righteousness, securely established in Christ! I live above the elements and corrupting influences of this world. I live without worries, conflicts and agitations. I walk in glory, dominion and the strength of God. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 11:1 TLB What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

*YOUR BEHAVIOUR IN THE HOUSE OF GOD*

_But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth_ *(1 Timothy 3:15)*

The Church of Jesus Christ is the ground and pillar of truth; it’s not an organization or association of believers. The Church is the house of God, and the Bible is clear as to how we’re to comport ourselves in the house of God; there’s a behaviour that’s expected.

When we say the Church is the house of God, it also means, firstly, that as an individual, your body is God’s house. Secondly, the members of a particular local assembly—the local church—is God’s house. Thirdly, the place or building where we carry out our worship activities is also called the house of God.

Now, in all three references, the house of God demands and deserves reverence. The Lord is holy. The Lord is pure. The Lord is righteous. Therefore, our manner of life, our comportment in His *“house”*—in serving and worshipping Him—must depict His nature. It must be according to the Word and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

As you study the Scriptures, you discover the things He says we should do and not do. These aren’t commandments, but pictures of who we are, and how we should live. For example, for your physical body, He says,*“Present it as an instrument of righteousness”* (Romans 6:13). Then in Romans 12:1, He says, *“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”*

Also, Romans 16:17 says, *“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”* In the house of God, in the church, you don’t cause divisions and offences amongst God’s people. You don’t walk in rebellion or disobedience, but in faith, hope, love and humility. Hallelujah!

*CONFESSION*

_As I study and yield myself to the ministry of the Word, my spirit is inundated with divine truths; my mind is elevated to think Kingdom thoughts, causing me to display the character of the Word in my daily walk, with an increased manifestation of the glory of God in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen._

*Ephesians 4:22-23 NIV* You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; *23* to be made new in the attitude of your minds;

*Romans 12:2 GNB* Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.

*PRAISE MUST HAVE MEANING*

_God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth_ *(John 4:24)*

Some people say they’re praising God and all they say is, *“Lord, I praise you”;* but the truth is that they haven’t praised Him. To give someone a gift, for example, you don’t just say, *“I give you a gift”* and do nothing; you deliver the actual gift to the person. You don’t give the gift with your mouth; you act it.

It’s the same with praising, thanking and worshipping the Lord. You do it with content. When you say, *“I bless you, Lord,”* then go ahead and bless Him. How do you bless Him? It’s by giving Him thanks: you thank Him for who He is, what He’s done, and for His glory in your life.

There has to be a meaning when you thank Him; what’s the thanks connected to? So, you say, *“I thank you Lord for X, Y, Z.”* It must be connected to something; otherwise, you only muttered words. If I came to you, and said, *“Thank you,”* you’d want to know what I’m thanking you for.

Even when He tells us to have a heart that’s full of thanksgiving, it still has a purpose; there’s something in your heart that you’re thanking Him for. I may pray in my privacy and say, *“Father, thank you”;* that’s because in my heart, I have so many things I’m grateful to Him for that I’m not voicing, because God sees the heart. In my heart are these beautiful thoughts of what He’s done for me or said to me for which I’m expressing thanks.

So, always, when you praise Him, it’s got to have meaning; it’s got to have content. The content is the fruit of your lips, giving thanks to His Name: *“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name”* (Hebrews 13:15).

*PRAYER*

_Dear Father, from the depth of my heart, I’m grateful for your grace, mercy, wisdom and power by which I live triumphantly today, prospering in all that I do. Thank you for your glory in my life; you’re righteous, holy, gracious, kind and pure. Your Kingdom is everlasting, and you rule the nations in righteousness. Blessed be your Name forever, O Lord. Amen._

*Hebrews 13:15 AMPC* Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
