You are an usher in the church. One Sunday morning, before the arrival of the Pastor, a stranger found you in the church and gave you a packet of sugar for the Pastor and a sum of #10,000.00 for yourself.

When the Pastor arrived and you updated him. He refused to believe you. He said it was inconceivable that someone would donate a simple packet of sugar to him the Pastor and gives you #10,000.00. So, he collected the #10,000.00 and gave you the packet of sugar.

At home, you unpacked the packet of sugar and realized that it did not contain sugar rather a well-counted sum of a million dollars.

As a "born again" child of God, what will you do?

Love Doesn't Die.

Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. 1 Cor. 13:8.

It is the love you shared with someone that will sustain you when anything around them fail.

Love becomes evident when spouses make strong decision to stay together for life.

There's no limit to how much you can love someone. Love is endless.

It's not the death of love that makes spouses divorce but the presence of the Devil. Love never dies.

Love is not unforgiven.
Love is not unwilling to accept change. Love doesn't keep bitterness. Love doesn't maltreat 'love'.

Love is a will. You must be willing to show it always. Love doesn't rely on love received from others to express itself.


Love doesn't end. Love isn't expressed seasonally. Love lives forever.

Love Perseveres

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Cor. 13:7

To persevere means to not give in to discouragement, opposition, or previous pains. It is to keep pushing, not giving up.

Love endures the challenge of the moment because they're temporary.

Caleb and Joshua persevered – they refused to be discouraged despite seeing the oppositions with their naked eyes.

When you're sold out in love, impossibilities, difficulties will not be entertained in your action.

Remember Jesus? He kept pushing till he was hanged.


Love didn't give up on you. Don't give up on it!

Love Hopes

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes..., 1 Cor. 13:7

Love played a major role in the Ruth-Naomi relationship. It was beyond normal.

Ruth might not have seen a clearer picture of what the end look like for Naomi but kept hope alive.

Love does not give up easily. It doesn't jump from pillar to post without a definite reason.

No wonder Job declared to keep hope alive despite him being slayed.

Love is the platform any hope will ride to stay alive.


The more you keep your hope alive the better you show your love.

Love Trusts

It always protects, always trusts..., 1 Cor. 13:7

To put your confidence in man that he won't fail you isn't something cheap especially when you know that he's but human.

Love energizes your ability to believe that someone you cherished won't fail you.

Trust is what you sent when doubt came knocking. It helps you do more in life.

Living to love others makes living worthwhile. Love is the sole of life.

Jesus Christ still trusted Judas Iscariot with the ministry's funds despite knowing he steals and would betray him for money.


People failing people daily still doesn't reduce trusting people.

Love Protects

It always protects..., 1 Cor. 13:7

Love is an affectionate expression towards another person, their level, status, belief notwithstanding.

An attribute of love is that it keeps safe, defends or prevents harm from coming.

If you can't defend or strive to keep others safe then you don't really love them.

Love is a proof of your commitment to God and to humanity. It is the determinant of your fight in the world.

Protecting others (people, properties, territories, boundaries, etc) isn't what to do occasionally but Always

Love (protecting otters) made Peter cut off the ear of one of the high Priest servants that came to arrest Jesus.


Protecting others is a proof of your love for them.

Love Is True.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 1 Cor. 13:6

Jesus could have invoked fire to smite the people shouting 'crucify him' but love doesn't repay evil with evil.

Love is not evil,
Love doesn't do evil,
Love doesn't delight in evil.

Love is true,
Love speaks the truth always,
Love rejoices in the truth despite the lies flying around.

Love doesn't cover up lies. It is not moved by what people will say but what God will say.

To still welcome people despite the evil they did to you only takes love to make it happen.


Love is not conditionally or occasionally expressed but true to all at times.

Love Forgets Wrongs

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Cor. 13:5

In this 'love series,' here is another attributes of living in love.

Love will not keep record of wrongs done to her. since people will always offend you.

People usually say, you can forgive and not forget but love says you can forgive and also forget.

Keeping record of wrongs is choosing not to forget the wrong done to you.

No matter the gravity of an offence, you can choose to forget. You don't have to rent a space in your head for it.


Love doesn't choose the offence to forgive and forget, she forgets every wrong.

Love Controls Anger

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered..., 1 Cor. 13:5.

Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure, hostility or antagonism towards someone or something, usually combined with an urge to harm.

Anger can be positively or negatively expressed to show a displeasure over an issue.

Anger can be a weapon to harm other people, so also is love to correct wrongs. Prov. 15:1

Love is not easily angered and that is a proof you're better than any strong man. Prov. 16:32

There are many things you shouldn't be angry about if only you understand that anger is for fools. Eccl. 7:9


Make no friendship with an angry man. Prov.22:24

Love Is Not Selfish

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking..., 1 Cor. 13:5

Love is an affectionate expression to another person and not just to yourself.

And another attribute of love is unselfishness. It doesn't lookout for herself alone but also of others.

If you don't give any regard for the interest, opinion and involvement of others then you're selfish.

Love doesn't look down on the ideas your partner, co-worker, fellow men/women are bringing to the table.

Love listens others.
Love cherishes others.
Love welcomes others.
Love acknowledges others. Love is being sold out to the course of humanity.


Love is not selfish.
