Blessing CEO Granted N10m Bail, Remanded Over Fresh N69m Fraud Allegation

Popular social media personality, Blessing CEO, has been granted bail in the sum of N10m by a Lagos High Court in connection with an earlier fraud matter

However, despite meeting the bail conditions in that case, the influencer remains in custody following a fresh N69 million fraud charge reportedly filed against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The new allegations are said to stem from a separate transaction, leading the court to order her remand pending further proceedings. The development has sparked widespread reactions online, with supporters and critics closely following the unfolding legal battle.
Blessing CEO is yet to publicly address the latest allegations, while the EFCC continues its investigation into the matter.

Actress Peggy Ovire has publicly called out her estranged husband, actor Freddie Leonard, accusing him of deliberately delaying their ongoing divorce proceedings. She also alleged that the actor is involved in a relationship with a married woman who has children.

The allegations come amid the couple's separation, nearly four years after they tied the knot in November 2022 following a long-term relationship.

Neither Freddie Leonard nor the woman mentioned has publicly responded to the claims as of the time of this report.

ALLEGED KIDNAP DRAMA TAKES TWIST

Anita, daughter of Mrs. Oluchi, has alleged that her mother was involved in the kidnapping case that led family members and sympathisers to raise about ₦20 million for her release.

Mrs. Oluchi was initially reported kidnapped, with abductors allegedly demanding a ₦50 million ransom. However, she was later reportedly found in a Delta hotel with a man said to be her lover.

Anita said the family is devastated by the development, insisting she only sought help to save her mother. She also claimed police investigations suggest the incident may have been staged and that no ransom was paid.

According to her, the ₦20 million raised remains untouched and will be refunded to contributors as investigations continue.

EKITI LG VICE CHAIRMAN REMANDED OVER ALLEGED SELF-KIDNAPPING PLOT

The Vice Chairman of Ilejemeje Local Government Area in Ekiti State, Grace Ogunleye, has been remanded in custody after being arraigned alongside three others on charges of conspiracy and alleged self-kidnapping.

According to police investigations, Ogunleye was initially reported kidnapped on May 20 after her vehicle was found abandoned along the Ipere–Iludun Ekiti road. Authorities, however, allege that the incident was staged as part of a scheme to raise funds for personal financial obligations and political commitments.

Reacting to the development, the Chairman of Ilejemeje LGA, Pius Dada, described the alleged act as embarrassing and damaging to public trust, stressing that no public official would be protected from prosecution if found guilty.

The case has sparked reactions across the state, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding the alleged plot.
